Besides, Berbatov is propably valued at between £30-40 mio. by Tottenham. That's a lot of money.
Yeah if we would have that kind of money for only one player, we would look for Fernando Torres, yesterday I read he wanted to leave Atletico...

MMM, Maybe next year...:eyebrows:

Milito is a great player! and strong too!
I've been following Fernando Torres's carrer, and he is yet to impress me! He's very talented! VERY! and tall and strong! He makes really well in the Spain selection, but in Atletico he doesnt score the goals we need! he's the kind of player that need to play alone on the front yet he only makes 14-15 goals a year.

Milito agent opens Juve door Wednesday 13 June, 2007

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The agent of Zaragoza stopper Gabriel Alejandro Milito has claimed that his client will join Juventus this summer.

The Bianconeri are in desperate need of a quality central defender and the Argentine, who recently told Coach Agapito Iglesias that he was “determined” to move to a Serie A club, seems to be on his way.

“Gabriel has ended his cycle at Zaragoza and his position on this issue will not change,” noted agent Eduardo Gamarink to AS. “He will leave and he will leave for Juventus.

“The previous management reached an agreement with us last year and even if the officials have changed in the meantime, they have to keep that promise.

“Juventus are in a hurry to close the deal as they have been waiting for some time and we appreciate this.

“In about a week or 10 days everything should be resolved. I insist on the fact that Gabriel has ended his time here.”

Zaragoza have allegedly turned down all of Juventus’ offers for the stopper so far, but a fee of around £12m is expected to be agreed.

The Spanish side are now understood to have accepted the fact that Milito wants out and the operation will be concluded once the Liga campaign ends this weekend.

The 26-year-old, whose brother Diego Milito played in Italy for Genoa, started his career with Independiente in 1997 before joining Zaragoza in 2003.

True, but maybe with the right players behind him and a good skilled player with nice touches like Del Piero he can become better. It's worth the gamble, I guess...

hehehe... yeah... i know we need defence first! but ppl here talking about transfers are throwing all the budget on defenders, im just reminding that we also need a couple of good offensive y defensive midfielders! We wont make it to the top with gianni and zanetti, they're second class players.

I find it amazing that Moggi left uor new board a present before he left by have Millito lined up and we still take forever to get him,,,they have to ensist that he is coming rather than our board making him come.

Although I agree.... To be fair to the board, the Spanish season isn't over yet and teams over there often frown upon confirming departures before the season is up. That might be a reason why only the agent is talking about the move and not the clubs?

i can't wait for him to join. he is immense.

I just wish we had someone to go with him in defence.

We got rid of Tudor and Kovac already

I wonder if the club will keep Boumsong and Leggro. Criscito will be great but is it too early to start him?

I think he can start at least some matches with Milito. Especially if we can get a mid like Gilberto
