Isn't Juventuz still the biggest Juventus forum on the internet?
If so there shouldn't be any problems bringing in new members.

The old "core"- members will not return I'm afraid. things have changed and if you come back now you pretty much start from scratch. This was a fantastic forum three and four years ago, with that bar you can't get nothing but disappointed coming back today. Old members will go elsewhere simply.

It takes some big posters to make a forum lively and interesting and they are in lack now. Give it a few years and Juventuz could become interesting again or it could just aswell be dead.

it's still a fantastic place imo. old timers can continue to be nostalgic of the "good old days" but everything changes, members loose interest and leave, it's a normal thing. get on with it.

Ok it might still be fantastic but if you haven't been a part of the changes you rarely like them. So the conclusion is that the old timers won't return but new old timers might come

Cheers, Zambrotta. It's been a while since we've seen you frequent these parts. And what you say is correct. A lot of the "old time" posters have moved on. A few have stuck around from the earlier days, but may not post as often anymore. And there is a lot of new blood too.

A typical cycle I've witnessed here in the past 3 years is a wave of people who get to know each other, post like crazy, and then are off to other things -- out of school, getting married, having kids, getting a different job, some other life change, or just plain getting tired of the same pace of posting here.

In their place is typically "new blood". As a general rule, they are often a little more crude than the last generation of posters. Some stay on and become very popular members in their own right, while others fade back. In the meantime, the previous generation of posters usually comes around to complaining that a lot of their familiar friends from days gone by no longer post here -- even if a select few still do. To them, "this forum is dying" -- hence the title of this thread. But what's really happening is that they're witnessing a generational change on the forums.

What you get is a lot like a college, with some old folks staying on like grad students, others graduating and moving on, and a new "crop" coming in every year. I probably fall into that "grad student" category. I've been married, had a stable job, lived in the same place, etc., throughout my time here -- so I can expect to still be posting here in a couple years whereas I wouldn't expect that from some others.
