yep. they're pretty easy, except that i have a very small pan, which isn't ideal.

I dont know how he convinced you to it. Its nasty smell was enough to keep me away from it. I lived in Kuala Lumpur for 3 years, and i never tried it.

Yeah the nasty smell and even the look of it is so gross. The cook literally forced me to eat it. He made me take a bite in front of him because he would not leave me alone otherwise. I had one bite and called it a day.

i wont even try to pretend that they're anything special! i love them as well, but they're really expensive here, and considering how easy they are to make...do you like the savoury or sweet ones?

I usually don't eat them becuase they are a expensive habit I have. I love sweet ones usually with strawberries but I did eat this really amazing savoury one the other day.

Durian is the nastiest smelliest fruit known to man. It smells like rotten onions and has this horrible texture. For some reason, it is the national fruit of Malaysia.

To call it revolting is kind. I have no idea why and I am not even sure if it is the national fruit but that is what I was told. Every single Malaysian I met felt it necessary to ask me if I ate durian yet.

I think there is probably like 5+ but I have no idea really. I think they eat it in Malaysia, Indonesia and Singapore.

From what I know and I am by no means an expert lol, I saw it raw, candied, pancakes, soup-like dessert, etc. I came to the conclusion it has to be an acquired taste.

For some ppl it smells like that..
I can't stand with the smell too.
But when you mix it with other fruits, add with thick milk and ice, it has a better taste.

Well hell, if you smother a piece of wet cardboard with vanilla ice cream, M&M's, chocolate sauce and a cherry, I'm sure that would taste good too.
