not a surprise, still, it's funny to see that with his 31m net, ~60 gross salary, ronaldo's wage bill is bigger than 14 squads' wage bills.

also, 6 players earn more than 6m net: donnarumma, costa (6), pjanic (6,5), dybala (7), higuain (9,5) and cr (31). a couple of years ago, it was only de rossi who got 6m.

€6M net for Donnarumma is the joke of the century. Guy's not even a top 3 Italian GK let alone the best. Guess this is why having a top agent is necessary for players, all aspects considered.

Some of the Napoli players are so underpaid, it's ridiculous.

Milan have the worst wages to performance/squad quality ratio. Not even a top 4 team on paper and yet have the 2nd biggest wage bill in the league ::lol3::

yeah, they are overpaying their squad. napoli are doing much better: a quality side on a relative cheap wage bill.

Our wage bill really did explode, last season we were at 164m and I expected us to go close to 200m after this summer as many cheap and good players left, but 219m is just craziness, I think we might be the team with the highest wage bill in the world this season while being 9th(?) in revenue...

Compared to last season, what I found strange are the small raises. Mandzukic, Chiellini, Cuadrado, Matuidi and Woj were repored at 3.5m in 17/18 and now they're all at 4m.

Dude those Gazzetta numbers are in gross.

The player salaries are reported in net while the overall wage budget is reported in gross. That's how they do it every year.

If it's €400M gross , then that's like 90% of our overall revenue. That makes absolutely zero sense.

New Juventus shares record | Football Italia
Juventus hit another record on the stock exchange, closing trading with a share worth €1.343, an increase of 3.55 per cent from yesterday.
The Bianconeri’s value has sky-rocketed in recent months, partly due to the Cristiano Ronaldo effect of signing the €100m Ballon d’Or winner from Real Madrid.
Today they hit another all-time record with shares trading at €1.343, beating the previous best of €1.3247 set in January 2002.
At one stage today, Juve shares were going for €1.409.
The Bianconeri shares were worth only €0.6190 at the start of June, while over the last six months they have grown by 106.62 per cent.

Juventus make €19m loss

Juventus’ accounts for 2017-18 are expected to show a loss of close to €20m, largely due to a decrease in Champions League revenue.
The Bianconeri release both half-year and full-year accounts, with the latter corresponding to the football season.
The first half of 2017-18 closed with a profit of €43.3m, but that was a decrease of €28.7m from the same period the previous year.
Now Exor, Juve’s holding company, has released financial statements for the full year, which show an operating loss of €62.2m.
Football clubs tend to lose money in this period, as season ticket sales and other revenues are booked at the start of the season.
In addition, being knocked out of the Champions League at the quarter-final stage, compared to reaching the final in 2017-18, meant a decrease in revenue of around €35m.
The redemption obligations on certain players, including Douglas Costa, cost €47.1m.
With turnover down from €550m to around €505m, the accounts will show a loss for the year of €18.9m.
Exor also expects a loss for 2018-19 due to money invested on the transfer market - principally the signing of Cristiano Ronaldo.
That’s not certain however, as much will depend on the Champions League, which provides more revenue under the new model this season.
In addition, the club has increased in value since Ronaldo’s signing, which could yield new sponsorship opportunities and an increase in shirt sales.
The Old Lady’s deal with Adidas provides for “additional royalty payments upon exceeding a threshold of sales”.
Over 500,000 Ronaldo shirts were sold within 24 hours of his signing, and while the bulk of that money will go to Adidas, the club will get a cut if the sales threshold is beaten.
