While teams are getting 50mln+ plus deals we are hopeful to get 30mln.
Sponsors pay for marketable players wearing a jersey with their product on it. We catapult our marketable players at the sight of the first offer and buy scrappy rejects.

Why do the sponsors not pay up?

????

truly the greatest riddle of our time

Exactly. People don't realize that sponsors don't give two shits about the Sturaros and Rincons. Kids identify with winners and cool players, not scrubs that can barely kick a ball. We need more Buffons, Dybalas, and Vidals, national icons and global stars that help us expand our brand and maximize our presence in potential new markets.

So we should only sign players who already have a notable international profile?
Of course not, but create a balance. It's not only us though. Sponsors want a league with the best players and most exciting talents. In order to generate money, you need to have the best players, or at least some of them. Imagine if Durant, Lebron, Kawhi Leonard, Westbrook, and Anthony Davis moved to Olympiakos, CSKA Moscow, Panathinaikos, Barcelona, and Real Madrid. The Euroleague would arguably become more popular than the NBA.

We are like 10th in sponsorship money generating like 50m a year while the top 5 teams generate 200+ million. That's three great player transfers per year.
