The Bianconeri regrouped this afternoon at their pre-season base in Val d’Aosta for their first official training session of the 2012/13 campaign.
A perfect pitch basking in glorious summer sunshine and a healthy crowd of approximately 1,500 supporters greeted the players as they began preparations for the long season ahead.
Under the watchful eyes of Angelo Alessio, Juventus got underway with some light jogging before conducting a variety of stretching exercises.
The ball then became the main focus of the session, with the Bianconeri undergoing passing drills in three separate groups.
Juve rounded off the workout by playing an eleven-a-side game on a reduced pitch, minus Arturo Vidal and Paolo De Ceglie. The Chilean carried out extra work in the gym, while the full-back was put through his paces by Massimo Carrera.
Alessandro Matri claimed the honour of the first goal of the season which, alongside Luca Marrone’s close-range strike, handed the team in white a 3-0 victory.
The Bianconeri will return to the training ground tomorrow for morning and afternoon training sessions, at 9.30am and 5pm respectively.
