Tell your Sudani teacher - "Hala bil zola!" Zola (pronounced like the ex-Parma-Chelsea striker's surname), means "sista!" in Sudani
Zol = brotha. It's a similar word used in expressions like "Whatz up my nigga?!"
They say, "Kef halak zol?!"
I noticed a particular similarity in Jeddah-Saudi dialect with Sudani Arabic, by the way. When using Emarati/East Coast Gulf dialect over there, they all laughed at me.
i.e. - I wanted to say, "...I will send you all an email with the details..."
Lebanese - "La7 eb3atelkom email ma3 kil el ma3loumet"
My wannabe Emarati/East coast dialect, "Zein, la7en tarresh lekom emaileh, chan tadroun kol el ma3loumat, 3edel?"
The Saudi's looked at me puzzled...needless to say, an embarrassing moment for me. lol
I have this annoying habit when speaking to non-Lebanese Arabs, to "convert" to their accent in order to understand...coz I used to have a serious problem understanding any Arabic that wasn't Lebanese, so the only way to learn, was to practice speaking it myself. (FYI- I never spoke Arabic until I was 12)

i7na fe jeddah (and 7ijaz in general) have our own accent .. and you can see words and pronunciations from every accent .. because we have many people who come here from all over the Muslim world .. for Hajj you know .. many friends of mine have are descendants of many nationalities from all over the world ..
in 7ijaz we're a huge mixture of cultures .. that's why,of all Saudis, you gotta love us .. ...
