وعازار حبيب من مواليد لبنان بلدة حواش قضاء راشيا ، عام 1945 . كان في بداياته أحد أعضاء فرقة غربية ثم اتجه للغناء باللغة العربية واشتهر بكثير من الأغاني مثل "يا رايح ع ضيعتنا"، "صيدلي يا صيدلي"، "شو قولك"، "بكوار العسل"، "انت رفيقي يا صديقي" و"ع جبين الليل" وغيرها الكثير الكثير من الأغنيات التي وحسب رأي الكثير من الملحنين يجب ان تحفظ في مكتبة الموسيقا العربية .

كما عمل عازار حبيب في مجال التأليف والتلحين لكثير من المطربين والمطربات في لبنان والدول العربية ، وكان عضوا في نقابة الفنانين المحترفين في لبنان وفي لجنة المراقبة لصندوق تعاضد الفنانين.

Yeah, but Shalabi was ill since a very long time. Azar, on the other way, I attended one of his parties last Ramadan, and he was OK.

Well, I don't think you could go to his concerts as he was living in Jordan since the civil war in Lebanon. I attended two concerts in my life and they were for him in the last two years.

Well, let me say that I was obliged to go to the concerts as my company are used to invite all the employees to one concert each Ramadan, and it was him who was singing in the two concerts.

I liked his romantic songs, though.

I asked my mom to buy me some CDs for Azar Habib the other day. I called her two days ago and she told me that she got the CDs and he passed away. I felt sad as I really like his songs but at the same time a little scared as why did I ask for his CDs just before he died.

Ah well, may he RIP
