He made a couple of decent one touch passes but still looks slow and makes bad decisions/executes moves badly.

I dont think he is a natural AM.
He will be more suited as CM like in Atalanta / AZ. With Loca (capt) and Thuram played as CM, he would be kept to play as AM or benched first.

Honestly feel like this guy is the next Diego Ribas for us. I remember when we signed that guy Youtube had just come out 1-2 years prior and people were wanking over Diego Porto compilations ("Next Kaka") on youtube.

Ive never understood what is the big fuss about this dude. Ive never seen him put in any amazing performances for Netherlands who struggle to regularly qualify for national tournaments now. Has he put in a Davids, Robben, Sneijder or even Seedorf performances for Netherlands last 5-6 years?

Most Atalanta players have not gone on to bigger things. In comparison, remember Salah was at Fiorentina and Roma and what followed. There are others. Do you guys think Retegui will go on and play for Barca? How many of their players went on to bigger things?

from what i understand and this article states it too he will still play, just not as a starter as according to Tudor his fitness level is really low and they want to rebuild him for the finish of the season.
Does it make sense? No idea, but shows really the amateurism of Mottas fitness team.

I'm glad he has the sense to do this instead of Motta 's idea of continuing to start a player who was clearly out of shape.
