You'd really expect him and he should have put the game to bed there.

More than half a season gone and only one single moment that freekick to justify the pricetage.

I don't think he's worth more than 20M, if that. Maybe he can solidify 10M just because of his freekick and corner kick history, which hasn't really benefited us yet. Maybe we can sell him back to Bergamo Calcio once they finish above us in the table.

Teun #Koopmeiners ahead of #PSVJuve in the #ChampionsLeague:

SPIRIT - "Good spirit. We have prepared well for the match, even after Inter, the mood is positive. The team feels good, it will be a tough match, we know that. We’ll see tomorrow, we want to win."

MORALE - "We must understand that against PSV, it’s a different match, a different competition. It’s not guaranteed that we’ll win tomorrow; it’s a new game. We need to be very aggressive, play with intensity and energy—the match demands it. We’ll see how it goes, the team knows that."

DIFFERENT MATCH - "They play with a different formation, the result counts over two legs, and it’s also our first time playing in their stadium. That makes it different, and now they have their fans too. We’re starting from 2-1, we must not wait—we want to win for the result."

NOT UNDERESTIMATING THEM - "When we play while just thinking about the result, we don’t play as we should—with energy, pressure, and urgency in possession. We must play to win the game, and when we do that, we perform better."

CHAMPIONS LEAGUE GOAL - "I was annoyed that the goal against Lille was disallowed. I always want to help the team with assists and goals. I’ve always said I’m a team player—when we win, that’s what matters to me. Our goal is to score, yes, but assists are also important for a forward. I provide them, the pass is key, even if I’m not the one taking the shot. I want to contribute more, both with assists and goals. I come in with that mindset. I want to help the team in other ways too."

EXTRA MOTIVATION FROM THE BENCH? - "I have to say: I’m very calm, even mentally. I’m a team player, very positive for this group. We have many strong players who can play here. Even from the bench, I’m very calm—I know what I can do to help win the match. That’s all I think about, and I’m very happy when we win and get a good result. Tomorrow, I want to do the same."

BREAK - "After the match, we said it was good for morale. Between the first and second half? We said we needed to improve possession, be more available, and we saw it immediately: in the first 10 seconds, we did well and had a clear chance.
There was a big difference between the first and second half. When you do this, you also have positive energy to continue—even in defense, you feel more energized to recover the ball."

Again speaking like a leader, only he needs to start playing like one and the sky will be the limit

In what position? I've watched him play in the NT a couple of times and still don't know where in midfield he could play. I don't think he's a #10 in any way. At least not a traditional one like Ozil or KDB once were. I don't think he's suites to play a 2 man pivot either. He wouldn't be my pick as a B2B midfielder as long as we got Thuram and McK.

it took us a decade to find a player for this position, it is important to have two, we need the competition and tactical choices to rest and survive injuries+suspensions. Hopefully we will get another player strong in the places he is not
