Nedved struggled as a pure LW, which is what he dominated as at lazio. But after 6 months lippi changed tactics, put nedved behind the forwards and it all changed.

Again, what does motta need to do tactically to get this guy playing well? He is meant to be the AM but there looks like there is a huge empty paddock in between the 2 mids and vlahovic all the time. Why is this continuously happening?

He hasn't played one behind the striker, so I'm not sure he will until he realises his players are not accustomed to his tactics but they sure he'll need to be.

I mean even with Mottas 2-7-2 tactic, you can see how zirkzee is supported, he has two players close enough to play off from. Not only that but it's interchangeable. He has these two, in fact in abundance, Yildiz, Koop, Luiz and McKenzie. What he needs to do is get that ball flowing these these two and stop always going to the flank. What he also doesn't have that worked so well is zirkzee, vlahovic is no CF or false 9, you can ask him to run around but he's as useless as a sheep. Grazing one side then another.

This picture also shows how lecce have 5 against 5 in bolognas defensive face. In reality our players are accustomed to coming back or playing it safe. Motta likes that but I feel he wants best of both, which ain't gonna happen.

No, look at Antonio Conte Napoli. Even him, of all managers, have adjusted his preferances and ideas to accomodate Napoli. Classical wide 352 manager. Now, suddenly. No more 3 centerbacks. And plays a narrow 433 which suits Napoli's material better.

Koop can't do anything but find good spaces and hammer goals. His final 3rd passing is not bad but he's not a player to create goals, dribble opponents, play 99% possession etc

Of course we can all see this is the case even being pumped with gasp steroids but not giuntoli
