Had a stinker today, don't know if the false 9 position fucked up his rhythm but it was awful. I also wish he'd stay central and not drift wide as much. He often takes himself out of the game

Woeful at everything tonight, from first touch, passing to ball controll. He just isnt cut for more advanced roles in the middle. Move him further back to central midfield position.

I feel like buying players from these unorthodox overachieving teams rarely works out

It reminds me of all the players that were perfect together for Dortmund in the 2010s. Individually a vast majority of them left and done absolutely fuck all.

I'm surprised koop hasn't had a much better start to life seeing as he's playing in the same league. Does a new coach somehow impede your ability to do anything you used to be great at?

I think it is a mix of things for him. Arriving at the 11th hour, injuries...then playing in roles that dont suit and in general being in a team that is yet to see continuity due to a huge amount of injuries under a new manager.

In saying that, his control was terrible today and he doesnt seem to have the confidence to step it up and make ahit happen. All that was missing was the high claps.

Back to basics for him...play him deeper...let him get on the ball more and allow him to control the game more.

tuz: you suck

tuz pls
He wasn't really playing as a striker though, He basically played his usual role, more towards the right and McKennie the same on the left.

I'd excuse his performance if it was down to tactics but his touch was poor today,

Yeah of course he didn't have a striker in front of him. But he wasn't playing as one.

As I said you can excuse him tactically. But his touch was poor.
call it false 9 or whatever, either way was our central player multiple times, and when he drifted to his usual position on the right, he had nobody to play the ball to. i can totally see why he didn't find his rhythm all night without the usual references

yeah his touch was poor and he had a bad game but some of today's verdicts simply make zero sense
