Flair yes, but not finesse. He brings much needed stability to our midfield. Reminds me of another Dutch player from a decade ago, Van Der Vaart.
No Van Der Vaart would beat him in flair and finesse, but was ultimately not the right player for a long period at top clubs due to his work rate and discipline, which is great at Koopmeiners.

Play Yildiz closer to Vlahovic and Koopmeiners as an actual central midfielder. He's the best one that we have, and he should see more of the ball.
This is the problem, somehow he's positioned like an SS when the team has the ball and therefore he's not receiving the ball as much as the team needs him to be... I don't know if that's his style or a specific instruction from Motta, either way it's not really working that way and should be changed or else he's going to continue underperforming.

His movement is so good that he finds himself in 100% chances more than anyone else, even Vlahovic. It also seems that we're much better with him on the pitch.
But boy is he missing chances. It's probably some 6-7 100% chances that he missed already, without scoring a single goal.

I don't remember if the misses happened in serie A or against PSV and Leipzig, but he definitely missed a lot more than two 100% chances. He's hitting the post, the bar, his shots are saved or go wide. He took 16 shots on goal this season, 9 of which were from inside the penalty area, failing to score a single goal.
I like everything else that he's doing, but he has to start scoring because if he keeps missing chances it might fuck his head.

I mean he's scored 70 goals the last 5 years so clearly it will happen. He just needs constistency and hopefully no injuries.

Well he isnt doing things terribly wrong but he is a bit rusty. He should be ok as we continue. Unfortunately I cant say the same about Vlahovic who isnt hitting for.. Is it 3 seasons now?

Sorry but I’m not seeing 60m worth of a player out there. Sure the team looked is slightly better with him out but 60m player should be giving juve a significant boost not just slightly better.

Look at these cheaper examples who made juve significantly better when they were on pitch vs when they were not:

Matuidi 20m
Pjanic 32 million
Khedira free
Pogba free

In their own way you could see the impact those players had since day one when they joined. I can’t say the same thing for Koop and he doesn’t have excuse of playing new country.

Easy to only think that because of his wages and that he is missing “easy” chances but if you look past that you see he is only one in team that is delivering so far in this dysfunctional team:

14 matches 8 goals and 1 assist. He is averaging more than a goal or assist per match which is to be expected because he is main striker of team. Problem is that no one else is stepping up when he misses . He needs better support from others. All other strikers like halaand or Kane have wingers and midfielders to contribute even when they don’t. Here at juve it’s expected only vlahovic score while others defend and it’s not realistic . Even Kane would struggle in this system
