It raises a smile for me when people are struggling to pronounce names. It suggests they don't meet people and are quite stupid after all :matri:

No we wouldnt have.
Even if we had bid 25m,Barca would've waited until the WC was over to see if they could increase the no.of suitors which would obv drive up the price in the process, basically employing the same tactics as Madrid did with Higuain.
There's no way Sanchez would've gone for less than 25m,lets be real.

it's possible, at least more chance then than now instead offering like 18m then and now deciding to spend 25m on a slightly better version of Gaston Ramirez

It's not stop deluding yourself. They aren't dumb to sell him for half the price are they? He had a fantastic season at Barca and they knew he'd carry it over to the WC.

Those reports of us offering 18m was from crappy Tuttosport and other garbage Spanish sources.None of the reliable sources reported that we even bid for him in the 1st place let alone offering 18m.
Even if we assume those reports were true, there's a reason why we were not ready to cross a certain limit for Sanchez and there's a reason why we are prepared to pay more than 20m for Iturbe and that being Sanchez costing almost 3 times more in wages compared to Iturbe.Very simple explanation.

Keep imagining. The only way Barcelona was going to let him go before the World Cup is if Juve or any other club overspent to get him. If you want to use Fabregas as a counterpoint, I think the fact that they were able to get what they did from Chelsea for him can be equal parts Chelsea overpaying for him, and Barcelona not rating him as highly as many thought.

Sanchez is also 2 years younger and just came off of a career year at Barcelona

Okay, for example - in 4 games of the world cup he was dispossessed for 29 times and he is not even tried to get the ball back after it, especially against Brazil he was dispossessed 14 times, it's a disaster for any player, yet people are masturbating on him all around

also stop dreaming, we won't use 433 as primary formation and of course sanchez won't join juve
