shpongle you mean. brilliant producers who are rightfully well recognized in both the edm and idm world. they just came out with a new album called nothing lasts. i've heard snippets of it and it sounds really good just as their last two albums were.

highlights of shpongle for me are their middle easter/arabian musical influences, their guitar licks and solos, and their calming vocals present in many of their songs. something i listen to when kicking back, perfect for the summer.

Just downloaded Tiesto's recent mix at Cream Amnesia (2005) - 100 minutes of pure class
ill check it out. btw, if your into the whole electro thing, check out zabiela's new album 'utilities'. its growing on me fast! and if your into the whole prog/house/electro scene check out Chab's "Dub Edits & Whiskey Coke". its a brilliant artist album. and someone mentioned sasha's fundacion which is brilliantly mixed electro-prog. the whole electro scene is really booming these days.

definately look into Nick Warren's latest global underground 028. Brilliant stuff, one of the albums of the year IMO. and for all your scavaging trance whores (quite like myself) look into Ferry Corsten's Passport the Kingdom of the Netherlands. I reallly enjoyed it. Ferry is brilliant!

thats just to name a few highlights. this year has been a great year in edm compilations/albums. soo much good stuff released this year. so much stuff is being released i dont know how to keep up. 3 global undergrounds so far and only half the year has gone by!

Try his live set at Disneyland in Paris from couple of months ago. Pretty decent.

One thing though- I think the quality of Tiesto's mixes is going down year after year.

    That one is good indeed.

I went to a danceparade in my home town Middelburg (in the South of Holland) yesterday and it was CLASS. There weren't really any famous DJ's there (not internationally famous anyway) but at least I had a good listen to Laidback Luke and Mental Theo who are both quite famous in this country. This parade is traditionally an event for young DJ's eager to show what they can do (it's also sponsored by DJ schools etc).

Good stuff. And to imagine this danceparade is in Europe's top 5 just behind great ones such as Berlin's Love Parade  And in my hometown too :howler: It's cool  More info at: www.danceparademiddelburg.nl

I'm not very good at taking pictures, but here are some:

Why... OH WHY I am in the US!!!!!!

Some of the new stuff out there:

    - Ferry Corsten's Mayday Live Set (4/30/2005). Totally awesome. It featured one of my favorite tunes back from 2001- "Galaxia" by Moonman. I've somewhat underestimated Ferry Corsten before, until I saw him live in NYC couple of weekends ago.

    - Deep Dish have a new album out, called "George Is On". A little different from what I've heard by them in live performances, but not bad overall. Check out the tunes "Say Hello" and "Swallow Me" from the new album. Another awesome tune by them was released early this year- "Say Yeah"- one of the best progressive house songs I've ever heard.

    - Dream Dance 36 is out!!! I tried, but couldn't find it anywhere yet. But I read the reviews- looks like it is better than 34 and 35, which were crappy.

What need some trance to get you hyped :D
Ferry Corsten - Passport the Kingdom of Netherlands is the last good trance album I heard. Im not really following too many trance singles these days. Get some recent sets by the djs playing if you wanna experience what you gonnna hear. Or just wait and be blown away by an aura of new songs you've never ever heard!

BTW, whats your say on Paul van Dyks new Politics of Dancing coming out september ;)
