A Swedish TV program called Liga Europa that as its name tells covers the European leagues.

Tonight was the last episode for the season and they voted their own team of the season.

It is a 3 - 4 - 3 formation as follows:

Cech

Cannavaro - Puyol - Colocini
-----------------Xavi
---------Lampard Gerrard
--------------Riquelme
Ronaldinho
--------Eto'o Zlatan

Zlatan? Great season and all, but this is obviously a Swedish TV show bias. I'd have Camoranesi in there before Zlatan.

Cech
Cafu Terry Cannavaro Zambrotta
Gerrard Xavi
Camoranesi Lampard Ronaldinho
Forlan

Ronaldinho would have a free role and move into a more central position regularly allowing Zambrotta to bomb forward down the left. Cafu would do the same down the right.

Personally, I think Cech's selection is flawed. He had a good defense in front of him. IMO from England Shay Given of Newcastle did better, considering the fact that the defense in front of him was messed up, ditto Sebastien Frey of Parma.

Everyone is having orgasms over Lampard, and forgetting that had it not been Makelele, Lampard wouldn't have shown up at all this season. Ditto Xavi and Marquez.

Zlatan had a great season, especially considering the fact that it was his first, but as a striker, I think Gilardino did better. Within Juve I'll rate Camoranesi higher than Zlatan, hell, I had written him off at the beginning of the season.

    Me team of the season:

    Given (Newcastle)

Carragher (Liverpool) Cannavaro (Juventus) Kovac (Bayern)

    Makelele (Chelsea)
Juninho (Lyon) Riquelme (Villareal) Ronaldinho (Barcelona)

Forlan (Villareal) Gilardino (Parma) Carvalho (CSKA)

Kovac cos he suffered a lot of exposure this season due to Lucio's constant overlapping, yet Bayern still have a double...
Juninho, need I say more? Lyon had another great season with him pulling the strings...
    Carvalho, well...

Hmm, not sure why Fabrizio Coloccini made the Team of the Season. The only times I have seen him play for Depor he has been quite average.

Ive watched him the whole season and he's been Puyols only superior this season. I laughed every time i saw him perform, thinking oh tough luck giving that away Milan. :D
