i like it, but we could possibly be betetr served with a diamond in there, with Amauri's strength and Del Piero's craft we will certainly be able to bring diego into the game but i feel we will require some extra width with the overlapping runners otherwise teams may be able to shut up shop in the middle and strangle our attacking options

This is another reason why we need to get a great RB, perhaps someone such as Srna who can attack and defend.

Maybe the 4-2-3-1 posted above would be better if we need width.

I think a 4312 with Camo in the 3 man mid would pretty much switch to 4222 when we have the ball but Camo would be expected to track back more. If Camo is unavailable though I think it will be a straight up 3 man mid with any 3 of Zanetti, Momo, Marchisio, Tiago or Poulsen.. or Sali?..

we need to trim the numbers down. cuz it will be hard to keep everyone happy with 3 slots available in mid. Even this season it would have gotten ugly I think if everyone was fit for the whole season.

Keep a back four and two fairly defensive midfielders, then be flexible in who the other four players are and how they are organised.
