Enough with this dysfunctional 433. We don't have the midfield for it.

Woj

Rugani - Bonucci - Chiellini

Cancelo - Can - Pjanic - Spinazzola

Bernardeschi

Dybala - Ronaldo

Spina deserves a proper chance, he's been better than Sandro more often than not when the opportunity has arisen.

That's just based on our current players but I think this would've worked better this year

I think 352 is the way forward with current squad.

Mitigates our CBs defensive weaknesses, uses our strong attacking fullbacks, provides two forward positions instead of forcing our attackers into hybrid wingers.

Just have to improve that midfield

I think we played 4-2-3-1 vs Chievo this year. Cuadrado was instead of Berna.
Then next game we moved back to 4-3-3.
We had 73% of ball possession and 23 goal attempts and 11 shots on goal.

i'd like to see this formation next season...depending on mid things can change of course:

Ronaldo-Mario/Kean

Berna---matuidi/Ramsey--Pjanic--Can/Cancelo---Cuadrado

Killini-Bonucci-Can/new Cb

you know you want it..admit it.

Cnclo-leo-kong-sndro
--------------Can
Bern------pjanic----spina
-------Dybi----------CR

Curious to see something like that..Can should be able to help cut Leo's brainfarts and if he works on his long passing, that would be a huge plus. Such a lineup would be more comfortable on the ball, and alot quicker in everything. Bent and matuidi weigh us down. Also fullbacks have more freedom to come forward with can filling the gaps.. If Emre steps up in the role this would work same goes for Spina.
Sub dybi for mandz and it's a 4-5-1 with Bernie and CR crossing and cutting in..

4-3-1-2 with Ramsey behind Ronaldo and Dybala/Mandzukic/Chiesa
or 4-3-3 with Romaldo CF and 2 wingers like Berna-Chiesa/DC
What about Berna behind Dybala and Ronaldo?

???? Panic Ramsey
Berna
Dybala Ronaldo

Make the ???? Signing count.

Berna's through passes do not impress me. I prefer a guy like Ramsey or if we could get a Isco that can make that sweet last pass to our forwards. I prefer him cutting from the right and make a cross. If he works on it then great.

I see a 4-3-3 with someting like this

MDS(defensive rb---------Bonucci----Chiellini------------Sandro

-------------------------------Pjanic----------------------------------------------

----------------------Ramsey-------------------Pogba/SMS/Ndombele

------Cuads/Berna----------------------------------------------Costa/Chiesa

--------------------------------------Ronaldo/Kean------------------------------

I can see that too, but it's horrible.

Not bad, but MDS as starting RB...+ Cuads will leave and Berna is not a starting material simply (coming from bench more than OK).

I am still on the fence on Sarri. On the one hand, it would be nice to see us play a more attractive brand of football but a few things worry me. Firstly, he strikes me as the kind of coach who requires his players to adapt to him rather than him adapting to the quality of the players he has which can always cause issues. Secondly, he is stubborn and doesn't rotate the squad enough which is going to be a problem given our poor history with injuries and fitness. Thirdly, while he is more of a modern football coach, the winning in style in Europe is becoming much less about possession but speed and press - something Liverpool have pioneered and other English teams adopt - even Guardiola has evolved his style somewhat in England.

Lets see how it goes. I really don't know what to expect.
