Not really arguing that 3-5-2 isn't effective but I like to hope this Juventus team can reach a level where Barca and co have to be the cautious team. The final was a disaster but for a while after the first goal, we actually controlled the flow for a period and I'm not sure it's possible with 3 CBs.

I'm only using Napoli as a reference though, so we might do it differently in CL.

Italy controlled the first game with 3 CBs, didn't they?

I wonder if isla was really brought for the wide role. Could just as easily be vidals deputy
I'm pretty certain that Conte and Marotta sees Isla as a player for a wide role, whether it be as a winger or wingback. No doubt he is at his best playing wide.

Not bad.

Expect Pepe to keep his place on the right of a 4-3-3, though.

Could well be.

Only see him as being forst choice as RWB.

He may well be viewed as a potential midfield backup when Juve are playing 4-3-3.

I think there are quite some reasons for doubt. He was constantly playing in midfield, prior to his injury, the last time he played a match.

I don't disagree we will se him in a three man-midfield. I just doubt it was for that role he was bought. But it really doesn't matter. Because no doubt he is looked at as a utility player - the best in Serie A maybe.

Love it, however, I am a big fan of the 3-5-2! If you get a left winger to push De Ceglie and a Striker, we are set!
I like the 3-5-2 as well, just exploring alternatives, with the signings we did.

Yes, I agree. I would not be surprised if he was tested out in a few new roles as well. On the left.

Impossible, this line-up need a clinical finisher
It's about the midfield.

Furthermore, i'm not sure I agree. A team like that is all about the movement from midfield into the box, you need good on the ball forwards.
