Tacchinardi in Milan link Monday 13 March, 2006

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Milan are pondering a summer bid for Juventus-owned midfielder Alessio Tacchinardi, according to reports.

Stories in some sections of the Italian Press are suggesting that the former Italian international is wanted by boss Carlo Ancelotti.

The latter highly regarded the player during their time together at the Stadio Delle Alpi and he’s keen for them to link-up again.

Tacchinardi is currently in Spain with Villarreal but will be recalled to Turin in the summer as his Juventus contract doesn’t expire until 2008.

Should the move take place then it is likely to be a simple swap deal rather than one involving cash.

Juventus are believed to be presently keen on two Rossoneri stars in the form of goalkeeper Christian Abbiati and Massimo Ambrosini.

Abbiati is currently on loan at Juventus after he was brought in as a temporary replacement for the previously injured Gigi Buffon.

While Ambrosini is a midfield option who director general Luciano Moggi has attempted to lure on many occasions in the past.

Tacchinardi will be keen to impress Italian eyes should Inter make it through to face the Liga outfit in the last eight of the Champions League.

Inter take on Ajax at the San Siro on Tuesday following the 2-2 first leg draw during the Amsterdam Arena encounter.

Indeed. Why would Ambrosini prefer our bench to Milan's? He would actually get less playing time here, because Capello doesn't rotate nearly as much as Ancelotti.

Hey i have an opinion. Why don't we give Tacchinnardi and Zebina[since he is going to leave] to Milan and then get from them either Nesta[replacement for Thuram but then we will have to buy RB] or Stam[convince him to come here so that he will be RB as well as CB but problem is he is old]
