They did not and it's not even up for debate. Both have their flaws but would start in maybe 17 teams out of the Serie A. Unfortunately we don't have the luxury of having 8 players that would start for every team out there anymore.
Games aren't controlled by one or 2 guys unless your name is Pirlo and even then... People are simply looking for easy targets to blame.
As far as Joao Mario goes, I'll wait and see. Everyone is mocking every deal right now so it holds little value.
Did Porto play 3-5-2? Because statswise he looks like a solely attacking wingback.

"At this point only #Yildiz and #Thuram are untouchable as they are considered by #Juventus to be the center of the project in attack and in midfield.
For #Yildiz, #Juve has received offers higher than €75M which were rejected.
For #Cambiaso, even if he is not on the mercato, if a good offer comes (€45-50M), #Juventus will assess it.
For the past management, #Bremer was considered a potential capital gain, they know that he has a release clause at €60M. He won't be sold during this mercato session but we need to see if next year #Juve will renew him with a new clause or look at what the mercato will offer for the defender."

Nah if I remember correctly they played a back 4 and he was either RB or RM. Yeah, you will see like with any other failure signing the last years.
And I’m sorry, but if you consider Loca and Gatti to be good players, than there’s really nothing up to debate. There’s a reason why we can’t control a game nor impose our gameplay - and crush under the first sign of pressure.
