Good point, but maybe not this summer. Skelly would get preference since he's home-grown and pretty good. For now Calafiori would be backup left back and backup centre-back, and given his injury record he'll probably settle for that 1 or 2 years.

I actually rate him too but not so sure he can play on the wings in our current system, seems like more of a classic fullback rather than a RWB/RM type, although could be a good option at CB too…

Anyway looks like he only featured one game last season and is apparently still injured till October or later so better avoid for now.

To be honest i did not hear much about him since many years but i do remember there was hype regarding him a while ago…

At the moment he just got relegated with Leicester(second time in 3 years) and looks past his best years while also increasingly injury prone, but then again he likely can sure do the job in Seria A as a pure DM that would allow for example Thuram to move further up by having more freedom without needing to track back desperately each time.

All in all i’m not surprised we are looking at this type of CDM profile because we currently don’t have a proper defensive midfield backup for neither Thuram or Locatelli in the current formation, but again i’d probably rather look for a better alternative even if under the current circumstances he might be a decent market opportunity.
