If I've learnt anything from our issues over the past few years, going big on strikers and neglecting the rest of the squad is not a good move. Especially if Retegui is the striker we go for.
Sancho’s huge risk. Could go either way, and I’m sure Comoli knows it. He could flop and just add to the mess, or it could look genius if he finds his level here. But are we really in a spot to take that kind of gamble?

Also if he flops (which is likely) selling him is going to be extremely difficult. Plus you know we will go high on wages which will make it even harder for him to leave.

I'm afraid that's the likely outcome, and the data backs it up. No idea why they're so obsessed with his profile. If we take the risk, at least make it a loan with no obligation, that's the only way I can stomach it. Then start signing quality defenders ASAP.
The problem is even when we have the right players the board continue to look for others for some reason instead of filling other positions.
For example - Its very obvious our back 4 are way under par. The only guy who is good enough got an ACL yet instead of signing another great CB who can then later partner Bremer who`s quality is not in doubt, we go for the likes of Kelly... We had Hujsen who was born better than what Kelly is today.
Thats not all - Now instead of taking care of our dire need in improvement positions we go to Sancho to replace one of those who actually has talent in him.
The club completely lost it.
