You guys are seriously underrating Gattone. He came up important for us this season and showed leadership. He fights for every ball and demonstrates exactly the desire and grinta this team needs. He deserves a wage that reflects his importance to this club and reflect where he is in his career. I heard Tottenham and Napoli asked for information on him and the club told them they value him at €35m. He has been called up for the NT as well. He may not be a top player but please stop rating him like trash.

People hate him because he used to lay bricks and he sometimes may seem clumsy but I agree with you that he is a hell of a defender to have. Definitely up there with Kalulu if not slightly better overall.

I actually agree with you about him being exposed without Bremer but I dont think Gatti sucks.

I think he's the type of defender that needs to be a #2 and needs a strong person next to him for him to shine properly. He needs a rock next to him but if he's THE guy on the defense, his inability to be THE guy takes his small flaws as a #2 CB and amplifies them to the point he is very inconsistent with some basic defending.

You saw moments of this when Kalulu was next to him and playing great. It stabilized Gatti a bit. Soon as Kalulu was absent, those same Gatti mistakes crept up.

Dude, you couldn't be more wrong.
There is not a single thing that is not likeable about Gatti. His grinta, workrate, and even the bricklayer background are all things fans love - the only reason why people don't like him, is because he isn't that good of a defender.

Why are we renewing Gatti anyway?

He has a contract until 2028, if he wants more money, he can try and get it elsewhere if someone bids. For a change we have the cards in the deal. Why would we pay him more and give him the power when we inevitably overpay and make it harder to sell him if we want?

There is far too much mediocrity in the squad that we should be looking to clear out, not make it harder to get rid of.

There will be no flanking of anyone. All this means is Thuram rides the bench. Tudor can only plays double pivot and Koopmeiners will play in Chunko’s spot next to Yildiz.

Both are great players but Im unsure about the profile.. I mean Osimhen is less of a team player and Gyokeres would probably fit better. Ederson is very good but Tonali pass range is the thing we need the most...
