Imo Cambiaso is gone for sure and we don't have the money for Tonali and Osihmen. Concecao is prolly a goner as well it seems.

Maybe add Lukaku to the lost if we bring in Conte :p

lucca lol

inda will still have thuram and lautaro. imagine trying to win the league ahead of them with lucca. i'd say it's 100% bs - then again i said the same when kelly rumors started to surface and here we are

anyway, just get rid of toli and the management, until then no rumor makes too much sense
we should be buying experienced striker, young ones fail hard here. I would try to buy Mitrovic if he wants to come back to Europe and then buy a promising back up for him, but I would prefer anyone but Lucca, Bonny from Parma for example.

mitrovic would be appealing if you're fiorentina and kean breaks a leg, or you're torino and you want to take a shot at the conference league spot

i know that the bar is low, but still... this club should have some standards. a few years ago fat higuain was considered underwhelming, and now fat mckennie's contract extension is something to celebrate for some. if we consider locatelli a problem (as we should) then we shouldn't create more problems with all the bonny's of the world

Meh, Locatelli being here shouldn't be considered a problem. Him being an undisputed starter and captain should be.

Agreed on the rest. We should buy players of the highest quality. Despite how bad the season has been, we have a foundation but we need a few top-class players and some experience first and foremost now.

Thing is we're aiming for Conte, who's still mainly a 3-5-2 lover and I'd rather not see us revert to that again next season... It will always have too many limitations and we have some decent options on the wings already.

I think the opposite. He is a symbol of this banter era and removing him would help signal the start of a new era.

He needs to go back to Sassulo or some other medicore club

He can take Gatti with him for the same reasons

We went from Del Piero, Buffon and Chiellini to Locatelli, De Gregorio and Gatti

Here's my problem with that.

Giuntoli wasn't like this at Napoli. He spotted talent, he bought low with the intent to develop (besides Osi) and grow their value. Sure, you supplement your roster with older veterans hoping they're durable enough to contribute some experience and skill. His entire time at Napoli, they were making smart buys.

It's like he came here, saw he had an open checkbook with limitless funds to finally play Football Manager and he did it. This should NEVER be the case. I'd argue at ANY club, not even Manchester City. Not even the biggest, richest clubs just spend like crazy like this. We should doubled down on the youth we saw we had developed.

I get the feeling Giuntoli is the type of director who likes "his guys" and so he saw Huijsen as "not his guy" and was willing sacrifice him because its not his success story. Same with Soule. These weren't his buys, his handpicked guys and so they were expendable to carry out his vision.

That is so fucking shortsighted and is perhaps the worst case scenario for a Director's mentality in my opinion.
I generally agree with this take. But I think Giuntoli did in fact lower the average squad age quite a lot last summer. The starting XIs fielded by Motta this year had some of the lowest starting XI average age in the clubs history as well as in all of Serie A and European top leagues.
24.9 - 25.1 or something.

In comparison Inter has an average team age of above 30. The Inter starting XI that just beat Barca in CL has an average age of 30.2. Then they have younger players on the bench, but are they up to level?

What you're after Giuntoli for: buying a couple of 25 /26 year olds for HUGE sums of money (Koop, Luis, Gi Gregorio) last summer was more to add balance to an already young squad. We won't be winning anything with a team full of 20 year olds or an average team age of say 20. Maybe 23 but even Barcelona has balance and a starting XI average age of 25.8 against Inter.

My personal issue is more to spend those big money on players. The club should just set a new standard and never spend more than €40m. Make that a club policy. You can spend €70/80m on a player and they still turn out shit. Vlahovic, Higuain(debateable), De Ligt, Arthur. None of those guys were good enough and they we no guarantees. There are no guarantees in football.

We also had Rubinho, Masi, Marrone, Padoin, De Ceglie, Piazenza, Nocerino and co... These guys ain't worse. The comparisons with 3 ultimate legends is a typical Tuz arguement. We shouldn't even try to get someone else if that's the standard because they won't match that anyway.

Yesterday, Cristiano Ronaldo Jr made his debut with Portugal U15 during a tournament in Croatia. The 2010-born player took to the field in the 53rd minute in front of not only his legendary father, but also many clubs who sent their scouts to watch him. Among the various clubs present: Juventus, Inter, Atalanta, Manchester United, Tottenham, Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund, Leipzig and Hoffenheim. [The Sun ]

I named 3 players who are considered by most to be our most important players right now vs 3 of our most important players back then. The comparison is valid.

1 of them is our current club captain and the other has also worn the armband alot. All 3 are the first names in every starting line up when available.

We also have the likes of Kelly, Cabal and Rouhi etc so again yes my original comparison is valid

No it is not. Not by a long shot. It's pretty lame populism at best. We're not in a dynasty and with those comparisons you're again ignoring the fact those players are good enough to stay. They just need their roles and importance adjusted by adding more quality which is why they shouldn't be compared to the champions. Every succesful juve had soldiers like those, especially Italians.

Removing those type of players would effectively and undeniably make some of the players like the ones you just mentioned starters; good luck with that.
