We have improved, but it's only temporary. If Parepiss comes in and it becomes an obligation after certain conditions are met, we'll be stuck with a high earner in the same manner as Glassmsey, who we only managed to move this summer. 1+3 is a LT commitment.
Bremer was brought in to replace De Ligt. Is he better? Only time will tell. Gatti is still an unknown at this point. Zak hardly gets any playing time, and I wish Allegiri would figure out a way to integrate him in the right position and not punish him by playing him with Fagiot and McNuggets.
Locatelli was brought in last summer, and Vlahovic has been here since January, so they don't count as part of this mercato.
Kostic is a very serviceable utility player and I look forward to seeing more of him, but he's not exactly a spring chicken, and I am concerned about how he fits the system.
I love the three young Italians (Will they get any game time though?) and Di Maria is a wonderful signing, but we'll be revisiting this thread in 12 months talking about who to bring in to replace both him and Cuads., which will leave us sorely lacking in the attacking third.
Pogba (I love the dude and was tremendously upset when we sacrificed him and turned around and paid the 90 million to Napoli to bring in that sack of potatoes) is awesome, when he is fit and available.
I am not tremendously excited about the Milcucks signing - Morata was a much better player and more versatile.
Too many ifs and buts, too many variables, and a weak bench that lacks the necessary depth. We may have improved slightly, but it's all been done with the objective of winning now, and without an eye on the future.
The defense is weaker (we lost both Chiellini - his leadership and charisma can't be measured in goals or assists - and De Ligt). Our LBs are one year older and still trash. RB position has stayed the same, so no real improvements there (none needed - not yet anyway).
The midfield is definitely better, especially if Pogba can stay healthy and Allegri trusts Rovella, Fagioli and Miretti more.
Our attack, with the Di Maria signing alone, is much better for this season. Next season is a different matter entirely.

He's solid, but he's nothing amazing or spectacular. We're not taking about a prime Maicon or Cafu here, or a Thuram, Zambrotta, or Roberto Carlos. I would say he's even inferior to Porto's Alex Sandro.
However, we are in desperate need of an upgrade, and Lodi is most definitely that, and he's also much younger than all our other current options.

I'm not high on morale at all. I'm seeing players with a lot of possible upside but ofc some question marks.
The disturbing thing for me is some people tend to think anybody who had some injuries before will never be fit again. If they all help 2/3 of the season, we've still improved. And Di Maria? Well, I'd say enjoy him for a year. Next year is a problem for then...
At the moment, we're yet again fighting for 3rd/4th spot imo. If Paredes comes, I'd say we can do a bit more with some luck. And if we actually get a LB, I'd say we're scudetto favourites.
Just remember we weren't far off a scudetto fight last season too.

I don’t think it’s pulling power, it’s a desire to have 2 quality players in competition for every position.
One of Juventus’/Mallegri’s biggest issues is the failure to seriously acknowledge and adapt to the post covid situation in which the quality of the subs bench needs to all be as good as the starting 11. I really don’t think the club understands how huge the change from 3 to 5 is.

Let’s not forget that Forest have the same amount of European cups as Juventus but also with a 100% win rate in the final if there’s the issue of prestige.
