A bit concerning that we are 3 weeks away to starting the season and still have a lot of issues to resolve:

- LB should be a priority
- We are still short on wide players if we are planning to play 4-3-3, particularly on the left.
- We need a backup striker.
- Ideally we should upgrade Rugani at CB. I'm not sure who we are planning to start next to Bremer but Bonucci had fitness issues and looks past it.
- We have too big a squad and need to get rid of the surplus players.
This is why I was laughing when people were saying they weren’t concerned with our lack of activity in the market until recently. There’s still way too many gaps to fill in this squad and we are nowhere close to closing most of them.

Now I know we can’t plug EVERY gap this window, but there’s a couple of huge problem areas (LW and LB) that maybe we should have put more time and effort into fixing before the season started.

our squad sucks. we need one more starter CB, another big CM as Pogba is not consistent and if he gets injured, the midfield will be ridiculous just like last year. also we lack wingers and our LB is shit. with current squad we will fight again for 4th position. for me its 4/10 mercato so far.
It doesn’t suck as much as last years squad. It’s definitely more competitive but we are still lacking 2 or 3 starters.

Pogba/Di Maria/Bremer is not a 4/10 mercato. That’s just ridiculous.

No offence to him, but I wish he would just fuck off. :touched:
Don't you think the coach is the one who wants him back, or is this purely management's decision, seeing as Allegrisaurus can do no wrong?! :boh:

If Allegri is the one who requested him, what then? Should we just say fuck off to Morata or the coach who's obsessed with experienced mediocrity? :numnum: Food for thought me thinks.

Manchester United could imminently make a bid for Lazio midfield star Sergej Milinkovic-Savic.
That’s according to a report from La Lazio Siamo Noi, who claim that United are about to ‘deliver a proposal’ to the 27-year-old’s agent, which he then will take to the Lazio owners.

Best scenario would be that Man Utd get an offer accepted which we can match and hope that SMS wants to stay in Italy and joins us (like Vlahovic)
and we sell them (Union) Rabiot, perfect world

Its a six, we need 3 more out and 3 more in at least in the right position to make it 8 or 9

Well, Di Maria is on 1y contract, next year must replace him, basically Bremer replaced MdL + Pogba. Not a big improvemen, deadwoods still there, this squad is not competitive in UCL.
Max 5/10 this mercato so far.

I'm just hoping Rovella and Fagioli can be better. They didn't help much last season. Also Zakaria and Vlahovic are up and running now.
But yeah, it's easy to "forget" because it fits the narrative. We've improved our quality and quantity...

Forget about CL. Serie A is where it's at right now and we're competitive even if we could definitely use some more to give us an extra edge. Not having an abysmal start like last season alone, would work wonders.

It’s a tough one to rate but considering the sales we’ve made and players lost there’s a lot of work left to do still. If the Mercato ended today we won’t have improved the squad much. Pogba has replaced Dybala, Bremer has replaced de Ligt, Di Maria is a major improvement on Berna, Gatti - Chiellini. Rovella & Fags coming back is an improvement in CM area.

We need another winger, FB & CB and possibly another CF as a back up.

I doubt we will go for so many players . I think the priority will be an attacker Morata/Arna/Firmino with the most likely is going to be Morata .

Other than that , other signings will depend if we manage to offload any players, if we let go Ramsey and Arthur we can see a midfilder coming.
If Rugani goes a CB will come and if one of Sandro/Pele leaves a LB will come.

So at most i think we will sign another 2 more players only till end of the window.

I am impressed by this window so far. For a team that hasn't challenged for two years we signed so many new faces of high promise and hopefully with that comes renewed hunger. A LW would be awesome ofc.

The goal is to beat Milan and Inter neither of which have done anything in the market yet.

This is definitely not a CL challenging team Bayern, Madrid, Chelsea, Liverpool, City and PSG are still better equipped but this should be more than sufficient to win Serie A.

While I am always wary of Allegrisaurus I am nevertheless very excited to see this new team in action

what exactly have we built so far? this team if firing on all cylinders looks like a proper CL contender on the first glance:

Cuads - Bonucci - Bremer - Danilo
Zakaria - Locatelli - Pogba
di Maria - Vlahovic - Chiesa

but then you realize that on the bench we'd have 3 crap fullbacks, a shitload of central midfielders, Moist Booty and 0 wingers.
and then there's the problem of Chiesa recovering from injury and di Maria, Pogba and Bonucci probably won't endure 2 games a week all season long either.

Also Bayern focus on recruiting physically strong and athletic players kinda like PL teams whilst we have done the complete opposite over the past few years so it's normal that they'd look fitter and stronger than us
That's most of what we have been doing. Our problem is not physicality or athleticism, it's mentality and technique.

Rabiot has all the physical tools, he is just mentally not comitted. Same for Alex Sandro or Bernardeschi, they sure as hell lack no athleticism. We have signed Chiesa, Locatelli, Vlahovic, De Light. Bonucci and Cuadrado while old have always been athletic as hell. Even Morata is fast and tall, he is just mentally a schoolboy.

Our team is physically strong just not mentally strong. Chiesa has the mentality of Vidal or Lichtsteiner, that's what a lot of our team lacks.

I can't believe people shit on this mercato and rate it so low. We had/have so many players to replace, so many holes to fill. Just because we still have issues doesn't mean it's a shit mercato ffs. With the arrival of Pogba, Di Maria and Bremer our team is miles better than what we had last year. Of course we'll be fucked if three of them die but come on...

They rate it low since we didnt solve all our problems.
We have some things still in need to be sorted out.
LB - We cant seriously still start A.Sandro
CB - We wanted to improve this area and we sold MDL and got Bremer - Torino chief says he is better but I guess we will have to wait and see.

To say we didnt improve is to be ignorant but we could strength ourselves even more. We just need to make some sales.
LW/CF - I think we will get Morata back - IMO he is very underrated here. The guy is not C.Ronaldo but he is very useful and stats and MOTM performances should say something to our fans.
CM - We got Pogba and we got our 2 prodigies in Fagioli and Rovella - I wanted us to sign another strong midfielder.

Overall we are good enough to win Serie A - If we dont win it means we need to change coach as I am 100% sure we have the strongest team on paper.
This mercato should be rated 8 IMO since we did improve things and we are already in position to regain the Scudetto.

As for CL - If we want to really challenge we need some signings such as LB, CB, LW/CF
LB - A.Sandro is shit and Pellegrini isnt really a top team solution
CB - We need another reinforcement as we needed it when MDL was here.
LW - If we get someone who can dribble and create we get a good increase of quality
I would argue that we need a strong CF as well to play with Vlahovic but we need to know our tactics first.

Overall whoever rate it low is probably more frustrated about not fixing everything rather than be disappointed from our signings.

Instead of trying CF as LW (Morata) or LWB as LW (Kostic) or CM as LW (Rabiot) why dont we just buy a proper left winger for once.
Is this guy any good?

Romano report he is available for 20m.

if we get morata and paredes, people will have enough reasons to shit on this mercato.

apparently the kid napoli signed for 10 million is the real deal and we were interested at some point.

Agree

This team desperately needs more of Vidal's and Lichtsteiner's atm

Signing Bremer is a step in the right direction hopefully

Just no Morata's, Zaniolo's and Paredes' please
Zaniolo is M.R ACL so I can understand.
Paredes is surely not worth anything close to 30M - I see him as a rotation player. Also wages are way too high for his calibre
Morata - He is actually very useful. He was our MOTM in some games. I think this whole forum underrate him.
As a CF he is wasteful but as he can also play LW which means he can cover 2 positions we need and the fact he is actually a player that can help our attack (see his stats as proof) - I dont think he`ll be a bad signing. We just need to avoid overpaying for him
