Last mercati it was all about working for the future, looks like the club changed its strategy. Signing one or two experienced 33 years old is good as long as your entire mercato doesn't involve signing only stop-gaps. No long term planning, no plan. Hopefully only rumours.

Perhaps the endless whining about finishing 4th and not winning a trophy in the first year of this new project might suggest the fanbase isn’t particularly patient with building a long term project around younger players.

Artur I think we can genuinely flog him to Arsenal, they’re stupid enough.

Ramsey… it’s probably time to just terminate him or sit him in the serie C team. Rabiot as a back up with McKennie, Miretti/Rovella/Fagioli in a midfield with Pogba, Jorginho and Locatelli I could potentially live with for a season until he expires. If we have suitors then I’d happily sell and we can then keep hold of another one of the prospects.

We can’t forget Sandro in all of this. He needs to go and he needs to go quickly

Case in point is Kulusevski. Fan base has zero patience and interest in the growing pains of developing young talents. Couple months of bad form and they are instantly seen as persona non grata. And these are allways the same fans who cry for young talents every transfer window.


I read just couple weeks ago people giving up on Vlahovic saying Amauri was better. That the 23 year old Locatelli had a bad first season etc.


And these two are the top choice success cases and signings, getting this much toxicity.


Every young signing who is raw a bit or stutters a little in his development will instantly be given the Kulusevski treatment of pure hatred.

While he is showing in EPL that there's nothing wrong with his talent. Just lacked patience and right way to fit him in to grow properly. But generally as said, most here just pay lip service to the idea of signing more young talents. They aren't not there for the reality of it.

The question becomes length of contract + salary when it comes to the likes of overrated cunts like fagjinho and parepiss. Obviously, anything above 20 million in transfer fees for either of them is ludicrous.

fagjinho or parepiss on a 3 year contract and 5 million wages is ok - a 4 year contract @ 7 million most definitely isn't.

I’m not Kulu’s biggest fan, but the club kinda screwed him over by not replacing Ronaldo with another proper goalscorer for him to play with this season. His goalscoring rate has stayed the same at Spurs as it was here but his assist rate has skyrocketed getting to play with Kane. And then add to that Allegri didn’t figure out how to use the squad at his disposal, especially in the first half of the season, which didn’t help Kulu either. His sale helped fund Vlahovic so I’m not too fussed, but he wasn’t put in a position to succeed here this season.

I’d like a good mix of youth, prime, and experienced. Under Beppe we probably skewed too much towards experienced. Which was in part due to trying to be as competitive as possible on a limited budget.

Management has done well in bringing in younger players the last couple mercatos. Where we fucked up imo was the experienced, cheap/freebies. We chose the wrong ones all through the Tootsie era and it’s still hindering us. Hopefully we correct that this summer with some shrewd signings alongside continuing the youth movement.

im fairly confident they’re gonna buy a regista as well. And if not, I would start Rovella and have Zakaria come off the bench. That’s my preferred scenario but I guess they want someone more experienced.

Oh, Arnautovic can stay away. Muriel is fine as a backup.

Pellegrini better stays, unless we bring in a world class LB, which i don't believe.
Kean kinda deseves another year to test, but i would understand not spending any more cash on him after that horrific season.
