Yes i think this has been a solid mercato for us. Allegri got all his targets , bar one which is Morata but the replacement in Milik is a low cost low risk option . Even that is approved by him so for the coach he is happy. Could do better if we manage to offload one of Rabiot/Arthur permanently .

How does our transfer activity compare to Milan and Inter? For a club that hasnt won the league in 2 years and is in broke Serie A and recovering from a big failed bet, I think this is a very solid mercato. We are not on the same level of Bayern or City or Pool nor are we filthy rich like United and Chelsea.
Milan and Inter would both DREAM of having had our transfer window. Theirs are complete jokes. Agnelli and Co. went all in this summer and last winter to provide a top of Serie A squad.

Not a good mercato but a lot of things we've been forced into.

De Ligt was sold heavily discounted. Di Maria is a stop gap signed only for one year. Milik and Paredes are average players. Rabiot, Pjaca and Arthur still remain at our squad. No new full-backs. Kostic is a totally out of position player for all our main formations so far. All in all our situation is worse in CB and RB/LB and worse at ST/CF. However our midfield and wings is improved. Very much a net zero mercato.

However, we did some good too. Miretti, Fagioli and Gatti all push the average wages and ages of the squad down and seem to all have a place in the squad, not to mention they keep our Italian core alive which is an underrated key in team cohesion and longetivity. If we can keep our players fit, Pogba, Miretti, Di Maria and Kostic add a dash more creativity and urgency than we had last season.

If Allegri could somehow make a 3-man defense work with a 3-5-2 or a 3-4-3 to put Bremer, Kostic and Danilo into their best positions, and keep shitstains like De Shitlio and Sandro off the pitch, we could have a very good XI on field.

Management have worked hard but we look low on creativity like last year, maybe that's Allegri fault but I guess the game against PSG will put things in perspective.
Allegri got all the players he wanted this time he has zero excuses, still baffles me why we bought cambiaso to loan him out days later to stick with our current left backs
