Agresti on VS:

- Confirms Romano's report that the reason for Depay falling through was Rabiot not leaving. His salary was supposed to go to Depay, but then they reevaluated and decided to spread it for 2 players (Paredes and Milik)
- Paredes 'matter of hours'
- Inquiries for Renan Lodi but veeeery difficult
- Reguilon never an option, in his opinion he sees the arrival of a LB 'hard' also because of the UCL list
- Evolving front in midfield. Arthur and Fagioli likely to go out, Rovella still possible to leave unless there are offers for Zakaria

Hopefully Rovella stays, Zakaria leaves and we use that money to buy a LB

I get Parades coming but it's painfully obvious that no Di Maria, no party so shouldn't we be looking at wingers? Creating chances and scoring are the biggest issue, even more than LB. Milik makes no sense, we have Kean.

With Di Maria we beat both Sampdoria and Roma, but do we really go to only 4 shots on target when he's injured? Buy a winger and call it a day before we do more harm (Milik).

Zaniolo and Chiesa with Vlahovic would be deadly after di Maria leaves. Hopefully we got the funds

Rabiot is better than Barella, atleast now
Arthur is better than Tonali, atleast now

Look where that brought us
I’m sure no one believed Rabiot is better than Barella and Tonali had a terrible first year. Mistakes are bound to happen.

What is Rovella to them?
Talent who needs to learn from great/world class players like Pogba did from Pirlo, Vidal and Marchisio.
And he can’t do that from the trees that we have in midfield and Paredes is the best option we can afford and a player who can offer him that. Injuries a side Paredes is excellent player.

You'd be surprised but there were a lot of people. Tonali had a bad first year, but look at him now? You'd kill to have him at Juve. Not saying Rovella is on the level of those two but he has upside and we won't find out his ceiling by placing mediocre players in his place.

OK so we loaned a backup CF for one year on the cheap. I have no problem with that, and he's a backup he's not supposed to be great. What I'm annoyed about is he's a clear and huge downgrade from Depay and also that we've wasted so much time on what has ultimately been a backup spot.

To sign a guy with a history of injury during an injury crisis though seems uncharacteristically risky from us as well.

This. If he doesn't get injured and recovers some of his former form he'd be very useful and an upgrade on Keane and around the same level as Morata. Not a bad signing at all. But these are big ifs and we are already in eternal injury crisis mode.

We going for quantity over quality at the moment. Change for its own sake. Could have just kept Morata.

New directors want the fans to beg for Tici back

Kostic milik di maria
Pogba rovella paredes

Goalie

almost entirely a new team based on new signings alone, yet why do we still feel so empty handed
They're all injured

Impeccable logic and planning i see, basically failing to sell a CM(Rabiot) that you now consider an automatic starter resulted in giving up on bringing a starting quality versatile forward(Depay) that can play both backup ST/CF/SS along with LW just to go ahead and focus the budget on buying another potentially starting CM(Paredes) and a not so versatile and static backup ST(Milik), all this while Paredes comes off the most injury ridden season of his career and also Milik himself is a well known injury magnet that has fallen in mediocrity due to so many of them.

Either the management completely lost the plot by changing all priorities and necessities from one day to the next or otherwise there should be another surprise winger(or maybe fullback) coming in as well for any of this to start making a bit of sense.

Right now and always Paredes was not a mediocre player, he’s an excellent underrated MF his injuries are the problem nothing else, he is what we miss. On everything else I agree with you :)
