"The strategy of Juventus is clear: to do everything possible to bring Milik and Paredes as well to Turin."

[@DiMarzio)
I hope we can learn from Bayern. They never buy for the sake of buying even for back up. When Lewa sold, they sign Mane and sign Tel (talented ST). But they trust Musiala so much and it paid off.

Our target is Depay because he can play ST/LW. But Milik as plan B is completely different kind of players. Instead of looking for him, i expect we can look on other players with similar characteristics. We can trust Kean, De Graca, Kaio for backup CF

It’sa sad state of affairs. Aside from the injured Pogba and maybe Locatelli, all of our senior midfielders are just so average with many overpaid. We have 2 or 3 promising young players where 2 of them will leave on loan because we cannot offload enough senior players and because the coach doesn’t trust them purely on age.

I’ve always said. If you buy players, invest big and get the top tier players at a reasonable age and wage …. Transfer fees are high but wages not too high. For squad proposes use the youth players to fill in the gaps for depth.

We have instead got older players on high salaries and lured them with long contracts and are then stuck with them…. Exchange youth players with other clubs to get proven average players.

Look at SMS for example. I know the selling club is difficult. But even if we had overpaid years ago…..the amortisation plus wages are worth it. Instead we got players like Rabiot, McKennie, Zakaria etc which collectively cost a lot more. 1 SMS and a few young players like Fagioli and Rovella is much better.

Anyway, that’s my rant for today.

I am absolutely against making a cunt like Depay our highest paid player, can you imagine the disruption in the dressing room when a lazy, pseudo rapper with the ego of Ronaldo makes the the most?

Milik though... but at least we are looking for a specific profile. If we end up acquiring him it’s because of horrible planning. Why are we still looking for a back-up striker right before our 3rd game of the season? They really fucked up massively this mercato after moving so fast with our first 3 acquisitions.

When was the last time we either developed or purchased an unknown player who came even close to being world class?

Marchisio? Can't really count Coleman as we took him from PSG.

What big clubs are buying “unknown” players and turning them into world class players? All the young players clubs like Madrid sign have big transfer fees and they are players a lot of clubs are after because they look like future stars. You could talk about youth players that came up through our system or joined it as unknowns, but even that isn’t quite accurate as we only got our U23 team going a couple years ago.

Better question would be what high potential young players actually turned into stars here. Chiesa for example wasn’t even a popular signing for half of Tuz. The anti-Italian brigade was calling him the next jabroni, Bernadeschi 2.0. He exploded here into a star and was the best player at Euro 2020 after his season here. Dybala was the same, bought him at 21 after a good season and he exploded into a star here for 3 years. Pogba was another. High potential youngster who met that potential here.

But the examples are few and far between and that’s a big problem when combined with our lack of youth development before the last year or two, and our lack of PSG/Man City level revenue to buy the best players in their prime years. Need to start developing youth far better if we want to be competitive going forward.

He's on the J medical right now... Him and then yes maybe Marchisio...

And the BBC backline of course, Barzagli was unknown before reaching the top with us, same with Chiellini, as for bonucci, you can decide whether he was ever actually world class or not lol...

So we’re going to close Milik today… what a colossal waste of money. This is heading for a 3/10 mercato.

Arturd, Crapiot and Sandro still in this squad. No LB replacements, only an injured Pogba added at CM. Terrible transfer planning and execution by this incompetent management team

It's a 3 with Milik and a potential 2/10 with Paredes. I regret paying for my streaming subscription.
