an other interesting aspect to this mercato: there are new fifa regulations on loans. here are the details in italian:

- from 1. july '22 to june '23, a club can have 8 players out on loan
- next summer it's down to 7, then 6

now we have 12 players out on loan:

it will be interesting to see how we manage these players. u21 players (ilhattaren, dragusin, rovella at first sight; didn't check their birthdays) aren't affected by the newrule, demiral is likely to be redeemed by atalanta, ramsey is back (and must be out immediately), kulu stays at spurs, mandragora will be bought by toro probably, we'll see what happens with the others. i'd love to see juve giving gatti, fagioli and rovella a chance.

Dynamics will drastically change from ‘24, although CTP doesn’t count.

My guess is that big clubs will scout even younger players in order to make them CTP before sending them away on loan. I don’t know how I feel about that honestly, especially for kids from abroad.

What are you fapping to? He's probably the 4th best player they have, and I am not even joking. I am dead serious. Currently, Retardi is their best player, but potentially, guys like Hamed Traore and Fratessi are better. In fact, by next season, I think Hamed Traore will surpass Retardi. Rusty Doris is just another Turdeski in the making.

Should we have a Nostalgia Thread?

Your dislike for Raspadori almost makes me want us to sign him..
Raspadori is a good player but isnt that great I agree

I honestly don't see what's so special about Rusty Doris. He's 22, but Gabriel Jesus is only two years older and much more accomplished; however, some of you don't want Jesus here, and his contract is expiring - he'd probably cost the same in terms of transfer fees.
Jesus isnt talked about in Italy as much as Raspadori, also wages are way different.
I wont hate the fact we sign him (should we do it) but we can definitely do better in our situation

we should also consider donnarumma, apparently he wants to return italy.
Honestly I was against him at the start then I wanted us to sign him and now.. I dont know.
His Milan form was very good and then he won with Italy being great on the process BUT then came his fuckups with PSG and the goals which he has conceded.
To me he is a great GK who is prone to blunders. While I consider him an improvement over Woj, I still think we need to go for someone who has less ego, lower wages, very good instincts and positioning but less prone to such mistakes.
Milan seem to have found one and so can we.

Who do I recommend? Tough to pick a GK since they arent too many who scout GKs (they are usually more focused on regular players).
I can say there are opportunities - you just need to find them like back then when we played Benfica - You could see straight away Oblak is special.
