He led his team in goals last season. We need a CF. He’s not old. It’s a loan. He’s had success with us in the past.

Morata has a better career goal rate in CL than in La Liga, Serie A, and premier league. That’s not narrative, that’s fact.

We don’t need him to win Serie A. But he's proven he steps his game up when it matters the most. That has value, and is definitely worth the relatively minimal investment the club is making in him.
