Mombly thinks Cavani is better than Dzeko.
he's not wrong. different players though. cavani is more prolific and his workrate is top tier when it comes to strikers, dzeko creates more, much better in the air. for a season or two, i'd be fine with either. cavani had very high wages at psg, but it wouldn't necessarily be a burden in this case.
- dzeko on a 2-year contract, 10m transfer fee, 6m net would cost us 5m amortization + ~11m gross, which is 16m per season for the next 2 years
- cavani on a 2-year bosman, 4m signing fee, 10m net: ~17,2m per season for the next 2 years
- milik on a 4-year contract, 35m transfer fee, 4m net: ~16,15m per season for the next 4 years
if we could negotiate cavani so that he would cost closer to 10m per season, he'd certainly be an option for me
