His salary was high for a backup though. Iirc De Vrij earns 3.6m and he’s one of the best defenders in the league and was a Boseman signing.

I think Costa is super useful if it. Great for rotation. But I disagree about Berna, I think he's mediocre at best. As for Cuardado I think we can't even find the best place for him. I'd easily use him for some swap for Zaniolo who imo would be one of the best signings in Europe.

It is better to sell a player a year too early rather than a year too late. Great organizations know this. And it looks like if Paratici is learning. We don't want another Higuain Khedira situation.
