I really hope the reports are wrong. Its such a shit formation and the best in Europe absolutely rape 3 at the back. Pirlo only played with that system under conte so he must see some benefit to it. We don't exactly have that midfield or the brilliance of the back three as we did back then.

Now id assume that the point of it is that the two wing backs would occupy more space nearing the final third allowing Kulusevski to drop a bit more while Ronaldo has total freedom and Dybala can be used to pull people away from the box.
