I don't want us to sacrifice our future for potential ST gains. What if the project fails? We're then saddled with huge wages, over the hill, overpaid players, and we only have ourselves to blame for crippling ourselves.

The defense has to be built around the core of De Ligt and Demiral; midfield should revolve around Bentancur and Aouar. As for the attack, it's Kulu and Dybala. That's your base right there. That should be your starting point.

depth is certainly important, im in favour of the Dzeko signing, perfect depth player for us
but the reported 7.5m wages are highly concerning, far too much for a mere backup
