I’m fairly certain they will take up the option. We are talking about a world class striker here. It’s only done this way for FFP purposes clearly.
loan+option and loan+obligation are treated the same way by accounting (and i suppose, by ffp). anyway, we'll have a season to win it all, so i'm not bothered by this retarded transfer until next summer.

good luck, higgy and caldara, sorry, but i sincerely hope you fail at that shithole.

everyone says the opposite.

Obligation - FFP counts it as a option taken along with the contract in specified amount of time.

Option - not so. Preferably would be for July next season...

I think we should get some Serie A revenge and highjack Barcelona's bid. Pogba would rather play here.
There must be something cooking in MU mostly. They could go for Fekir now, since very few options are left for their right side... Dembele is the better player and higher potential. Then again when did Mou went for a young player...

Then Martial - mostly believed to be Bayern bound, yet Bayern haven't sold.

I'll start from the beginning

We bought him for 90m, but for accounting purposes we say that its not 90m upfront but 18m each year for 5 years (5*18=90)

Now he has already been here 2 years and we have paid 18m each year so now only 3*18=54m remains to be paid

If we sell him now for 54m, great we dont have to pay any more

If you wait another year, we still have to pay the 18m

And since we have paid another 18m , now we only owe 2*18m = 36m

If next year you sell him for 60m, and since we only owe 36m, its a 24m profit
In other words we can sell Pjanic for 20m and in our books it will count as profit?

I think his book value is around 19m so ya 20m would generate a profit
Good then. We bought Pogba for about 1m if we had sold him for 200k we wouldnt have any loss in our books, but we sold him after 4 years for 105m and we gained 60 something mil. This doesnt match up for me.
