Chiellini
Bonucci
Benatia
Rugani
Barzagli

Chiellini
Benatia
Caldara
Rugani
Barzagli

From a football perspective only, which set of CB's do you feel more confident it
I'd prefer the all'italia one with

Chiellini
Bonucci
Caldera
Rugani
Barzagli

..but that's not what you've asked. So I'll pick the second one of yours.

I'm gonna have to go with #2. If Bonucci is better at the moment, that will change soon. Caldara is the best young Italian CB imo, and will become a starter and a beast here in 1-2 years. I wouldnt mind sacrificing Rugani for Bonucci though

Some players need to accept that are back up, it's easier and better when they are young ones, because they know that time is on their side.
The squad now is balanced, 2 starters, 2 youngsters and one mentor, still able to out a hand. If we want to make a push for the CL, we can sell Benatia for 20mil and buy Godin for 20mil And in Sandro-Chiellini-Godin-Cancelo we have the best defense in the world, with two super solid defensive rocks in the middle and two offensive wingbacks.

If we want to make cash, selling Rugani for 55mil+Benatia for 20mil and get Godin for 20, would create 55mil profit and even virtually upgrade our starter option for the next 2-3 years.
In later years, those 55mil could get us a Romagnoli or older and better experienced Rugani

Bonucci can only play in a 3man defense, meaning a 3-5-2 or 5-3-2, with Sandro and Cancelo at wings, 3 CMs, Cristiano and only one of Dcosta or Dybala. Straight swap or minimal profit from the sale of Caldara and only 15mil to buy a future Rugani partner.
God forbid if we fail to change in a 3-5-2 and have to face again the competition of Bonucci and Benatia for the starter spot, esp with the one, earning double from the other...

the best part about this whole caldara thing is most members here barley have time to watch juve games, let alone other teams.

suddently they are all caldara experts

But we sell Caldara and get Bonucci instead :baus:

The guy we almost signed 2 years ago? @Mark
Based on the ONE preseason game I saw of him, he looks pretty bad. However, we have to have some youth somewhere when you look at how old the defense is. Have to rebuild that Italian core.

Now, if this is all somehow part of some Rube Goldberg machine-esqe deal to land Romagnoli in the next year or two while keeping Rugani/with a small buyback on Caldara... :beppe:

I do trust our board, but this just feels wrong. Like it did starting last season with the midfield we had (which was still barely improved as of now).

It's disgusting.

I hate this Caldara kid (oh no wait, he's actually 24) already.

At least he was a Juve player for a time now.... Sometimes is the same for some random guy from an even more random league

My main issue is more relate to BonBon coming back here and my reasons are the same when he left: Max's issues and half time breakdown in Cardiff. Even when we don't know for sure a lot of it, every single story has BonBon as a main character

#Juventus told #Higuain’s agent that #Milan is the most concrete option right now. But the Argentinian striker wants to understand the project better and will have a meeting with Leonardo shortly (@DiMarzio)

The "project"

Gonzalo, my dear friend, there is no "project" in Milan.
