I asked this on another thread. What does this mean?

“Prior to 2015, licensing and retail activities were not managed directly bytheJuventus Football Club,” explains Montesion. “In thetwo years since, we have substantially revised our licensee portfolio, consolidating firstly our market in Italy, andthenoverhauling ourinternational development program. Now we are coveringnearly every productcategory, and counting more than 100 licensees worldwide. Juventus is now poised to delve into an even wider brand licensing program including a range of product categories. We aim to give a wider, deep and transversal meaning, seeking new targets and looking for new distribution channels.”

The managing of our retail and licensing activities were probably sub contracted out. This means we paid someone to manage how we sell our brand, our merchandising and probably the logistics behind it. However since 2015, we have our own team to do this. The 100 license imo is a vague term as it could mean selling our logo to EA sports to whoever else. It could also include how our partners such as beebao can use our name and vice versa dependent on the type of contract. We're going global, from selling jj sofas to cutlery and new distribution channels just fancy word for selling our brand products etc through different means I.e social media.

This article was written last year and it's clear were going from strength to strength.

Aside note, real Madrid have taken a wonderful innovative step 2 years ago and I think we're following a similar path. They've really brought the market home though digital transformation. Its basically understanding your customers (fans) analysing trends through social media and transforming this into your business, which can be seen by the fans. Sorry don't want to add more jargon but these articles explain the direction I think we will be heading towards in the next few years.

MU and RM who have the biggest fanbases out there sell around 2.8mln.

Doubt we can go over that.
When a player like CR7 MOVES clubs, sales are gonna happen, mostly because CR7. More people gonna buy CR7 jersey this season, compared to the next. With a massive transfer, I expect to beat any other team that has only good-decent transfers.

SMS sounds like our buy. I wouldn't be surprised if we end up with him.

And man, oh, that would be something.

Would be funny if we end up signing Pogba for less cash.
Signing either would be heaven sent, after we just spent well over 200m on signings without sales basically?

Insane if we are even entertaining another record sum signing. What happend to the shy market opportunities Juve? :D

I have to say I would prefer Pogba - he knows the system and is way more marketable. Also, if Pogba comes, it might actually be to stay. SMS has already indicated his eventual desire to play for Real Madrid. But I'd settle for SMS. :p

It's a no brainer to prefer Pogba. More talented, more proven top quality for us, fits in well, incredibly more hyped name etc. SMS would be great signing too, but Pogba defenitely more shocking.

Also I just miss seeing him bully and dribble and entire midfield by himself.
