I’d say Higuain and Rugani for sure, Benatia and Sandro with the right offer too. That will give firing power. Don’t forget Juve sold more than half a million jerseys day 1

Yeah but we only get 15% of short sales profit no? We got played by Adidas.

I don't think we get that high percent on shirt sales. In Juve financial report 2016-2017, we seems to make only 10,9M out of ~850.000 shirt sales, that ~13% only. There are two lines about that:

Revenues from sales of products and licences = €19.2m
Purchases of products for sale = €8.3m

Edit: sorry, don't see @italiacalcio10 post above ^^
That's the tough part - there are no 'official jersey sale numbers' that I can see. There are other components. 850.000 is off the a website that estimates, but we don't know for sure. And we don't know how many are official either. Granted I may be on the low side at 325,000. I just tried to illustrate how the flow of profits would work. Licensing were be 100% margin. Stuff though Juventus store would be low margin (not more than 30% I'd think since it would be purchased from Adidas) I think. I ends up resulting in ~62% margin. We also have no idea of the breakdown of direct & indirect channels either.

Obviously there is no perfect science here hahaha.

“Marotta and Paratici weren’t directly involved in the purchase of Cristiano Ronaldo. Now it’s their turn to give a gift, which they have been working on for months.” @MomblanOfficial on TopCalcio

I don't know everyone is getting this 800k figure. I think I may have even been high with my estimate at 325.000. Obvious some could just involve other licensed apparel as well. But in their annual report: The number given for jersey sales specifically is 41,000 lol. This may only refer to direct sales, but that being said: that would suggest that any volume above 41,000 is done via licensing.

Yes, we don't have enough clue. And thank you, sir, I learn many new things from your post

MU and RM who have the biggest fanbases out there sell around 2.8mln.

Doubt we can go over that.
Who knows man. I've never seen a transfer of this magnitude. A sport icon like Michael Jordan and a 5 Ballon d'Or winner being transferred to a popular club like Juventus. This is far beyond normal and this is why I won't be surprised if we break some records here and there.

I asked this on another thread. What does this mean?

“Prior to 2015, licensing and retail activities were not managed directly bytheJuventus Football Club,” explains Montesion. “In thetwo years since, we have substantially revised our licensee portfolio, consolidating firstly our market in Italy, andthenoverhauling ourinternational development program. Now we are coveringnearly every productcategory, and counting more than 100 licensees worldwide. Juventus is now poised to delve into an even wider brand licensing program including a range of product categories. We aim to give a wider, deep and transversal meaning, seeking new targets and looking for new distribution channels.”

Before 2015 neither retail says nor licensing were managed by Juventus. Presumably Adidas did it all (for 6M Eur per year). Basically if there was a party interested in licensing the Juventus brand, they would go through Adidas. Now Juventus is responsible for it. They sell their products directly, and are responsible for licensing their brand to interested parties (ie: if someone wants to sell a shirt that says Juventus on it).

There are a few things that I'm not of now.
1) I think we know that 41,000 jerseys are confirmed sold on the annual report (we just don't know if it only includes stuff sold via Juventus stores)
2) Beyond that would be licensing of products or jerseys sold through other channels
3) There is also royalty payments from Adidas beyond certain levels of sales. (I thought those would be under Sales of Products on the income statements, but it could also be under sponsorship as well)
