Ok

I know this graphic is from 2015, but i couldn't find a newer one. Still does a good job though.

https://www.fourfourtwo.com/features/revealed-20-best-free-kick-takers-european-football

freekicks from summer 2013 to start of 2018

Ronaldo Goals: 7 • Attempts: 112 • Success rate: 6.25%
Pjanič Goals: 11 • Attempts: 76 • Success rate: 14.47%
Dybala Goals: 8 • Attempts: 38 • Success rate: 21.05%

yeah, I don't want Ronaldo taking any freekicks that are closer than 30m, there's no doubt that Dybala and Pjanič are better at it :D
the above is from early 2018. Zach doesn't care though, apparently Cristiano scores freekicks any time against anyone in any form, doesn't matter that Dybala has more goals in 3 times less attempts :D ok, I'll stop now :p

Add to that that Ronaldo goes for the direct goal like 99% of the time, whilst Mire doesn't. I don't know if that has been taken into account, but still - just look at the numbers ffs. Difference is like night and day.

4 reasons why Cristiano Ronaldo should stay at Real Madrid

#4 Real Madrid are the best team in the world at the moment

Are they not? People might criticize them for being lucky to win the Champions League this season, but what they fail to see is their resurgence following a disappointing campaign. Winning the most prized asset in club football even when they are not at their best shows their strong character. In every game, their desire to churn out wins has been greater than almost every opponent they have faced.

Add the fact that they clinched a third consecutive European title, becoming the first team to do so. They are certainly the best team of the whole decade, let alone at present. Cristiano Ronaldo might get the money he desires, but he will surely lose the guarantee of winning trophies if he leaves Real Madrid.

#3 He is still the club's main talisman

Cristiano Ronaldo goes out of form for the first six months of the campaign and Real are unable to churn out the expected results. Then, he steps up and finds form and Real Madrid are firing on all cylinders just like they did in the past. What does that indicate? Real Madrid may have the best players in every position on the pitch, but they still need Ronaldo to score crucial goals and perform well in big games. He is the undisputed talisman of the club, isn't he? They just can't afford to lose him and that's why he should sit tight at the Bernabeu.

#2 Because Real have the best crop of midfielders in the world

Over the years, CR7 has completely changed his style of play; he has gone from being an exciting winger with silky skills to being a proper striker who is a lethal finisher. No doubt it's his dead-eye instincts and clinical finishing abilities that has helped him score a bucket load of goals, but Real's stellar midfield has a major share in his exploits in front of the goal. Ronaldo's current role at the club has limited him to being effective only in the box; he is no more the lethal poacher he was from outside the box. Also, his set-piece abilities have diminished as years have passed by. That is why he needs a quality set of midfielders to do the creative work so that he can keep scoring regularly. Look at how ineffective Ronaldo was against Bayern Munich. The Bavarians' domination in the center caused a scarcity of chances and CR7 was an isolated figure up front for most of the time on the pitch. Some of you might be offended by these negatives, but that's the stark truth about the Real Madrid talisman.

The question to dwell on is, is there any midfield that can match the brilliance of Modric, Kroos, Casmiro and Isco? Manchester City do have one, but CR7 wouldn't risk the ire of his former club by joining them, would he? Sitting tight at the Bernabeu doesn't sound to be a bad option.

#1 Are there really any worthy suitors for him?

Let's have a look at the clubs who are interested in signing him.

Manchester United will definitely be the front runners if Real agree on selling Ronaldo, but do they really need him? Ronaldo can function on the left, but United already have Alexis, Martial, and Rashford in that department. He played as a proper striker this season in a 4-4-2 setup. But here's the problem. Mourinho has usually stuck to a lone striker formation like 4-2-3-1 with and heavily emphasizes on his forwards to fall back and defend whenever United lose possession. In Romelu Lukaku, he has a striker who fulfills his needs and it is unlikely that he would go for his compatriot.

Then there are the MLS and the Chinese clubs. But they hardly stand a chance because they won't offer Champions League competition to the striker.

Some say PSG would love to have him, but that definitely won't be in the best interests of Les Parisiens. They would have to give up Neymar if they want Ronaldo, and selling a 25-year-old with the potential of winning a Ballon d Or for a 33-year-old who is inching closer to the twilight of his career doesn't make any sense, does it? Real Madrid are still the best club suited to his interests, period.

It has not, cause that is the key difference.

Ronaldo always goes for the shot. And alot of his freekicks are very far off goal.

Miralem takes direct free kicks, when he feels good and when its a good chance.

One good point is however, Miralem would have the most lethal finisher in history to float his free kicks too.

@Cronios you optimism worries me. Since you are this confident do you volunteer to be our human sacrifice if this deal does not happen?

I need a heavy contingency for when this deal is nuked for allowing myself to get excited for this transfer
