Would love Kovacic here, but we can't have 5 mids with 4 million + wages. Would hope its matuidi sacrificed lol. Don't see it happening, and I'd rather keep pjanic, but Kova for 50 million would be a steal. He's actually good defensively, unlike what some posted here.

From what I seen of Golovin, he has a very good drive with the ball, fantastic close control and maybe he still lacks some physic. Reminds me a lot of Kovacic before he went to Real.

Kovacic would be wasted as a holding mid. Hes best attribut is that he is fantastic when driving the ball forward.
Driving the ball forward from mid line is exactly what Juve lacks and absolutely needs to become multi-dimensional.
We already have trillions of CMs who are good overall, decent defensively, yet mediocre offensively and we really on wingers, thus becoming predictable.
A CM with offensive capacities, able to to step in, threaten by him self and tie our midfield with our isolated front line, like Pjanic ties the defense with the midfield, is what we really lack to take this team into the next level...

I may be too narrow-minded but there was never a moment in my life when I was excited about centre-back signing. Unless it's super talented and super young for super cheap guy - then I will be excited about future profit maybe.
Nowadays CBs are only as good as what's in front of them, that's why.

You could put current Barzagli behind a stacked team and they will keep clean sheets.

17 years ago I was sacrificing to all God's imaginable for us to sign Nesta. Most exciting perfect defender ever.

Instead we ended up with a a great but lukewarm and more boring Cannavaro.

Rugani leaving has to be the dumbest rumor of this mercato. But if journos can repeatedly write these rumors and get away with it with a large number of fans buying them, you can hardly put all the blame on them.

Golovin Verratti SMS :tuttosport:
Golovin and SMS play the same role (mezzala), and one of them has potential but far from fap-worthy as a starter. Verratti as regista...what year is this?

It prolly takes you 3 yrs to win anything even in FM.

The monsters are coming
Juve, five massive buys defined and only five are off the market: now star sales and profits can finance signings like Milinkovic-Savic, Morata or Icardi
We reveal the three optional line-ups on Marotta’s table

Prime Cannavaro (2006 world cup) is the best defender ive ever seen. Nesta was probably my 2nd best but Nesta's prime came a few years earlier and although he was unlucky not to be there for the knockout stages of that World Cup i still dont think he would of ever reached the heights Cannavaro did. For that tournament alone i always rate him the best even though Nesta might of been better for a longer period of time

Cannavaro was more healthy and better leader, hence the WC performance, but Nesta was easily the superior player. Sublime art like defending.

I agree with Stevie. Cannavaro had a flawless World Cup. Was a monster.

Of course a World Cup is only 7 games, it doesn't negate what a top level footballer does over a 70 game season. Still, he was absolutely robbed of the player of the tournament award.

Nesta is the best CB I’ve ever seen since I started watching football. Perfect in everything. Just a shame he was so injury prone.
Dont get me wrong Nesta was great but I guess you only started watching football since the Nesta days which means you are in your 20s...
IMO Summer is the best ever but there were also other great defenders such as Maldini
Thiago Silva was also one of the best in his prime (Although I rate Nesta more)

Rumors about Pjanic to Barca/Chelsea start to get some eccho..
I just hope we arent getting SMS to replace Pjanic as we need both..

:lol:No way you are serious.

TS was just hyped by Galliani like Pato used to be he was absolutely nothing special.

I'd take Lucio and Samuel during that era over him any day. Chiellini, Barzagli Bonnuci in the era after wards too and thats just within Serie A. These are legends who went very far.

TS is a mental midget and lacks the intellegence of Barza, the passing of Bonbon and the aggression of Lucio, Samuel, & Chiellini. Terrible for Brazil, good for Milan, okay for PSG. Absolutely nothing special.

Samuel was indeed great!
TS was hyped but also a great defender... About Pato - I agree he was way overrated..
