I love Benatia, but :lol2: at the thought that we shouldn't upgrade him to Godin if the opportunity presents itself.

I mean, why on earth would we want to upgrade our defensive line... it was soooooo great in CL this year. :baus:

Report: Uruguayan defender eyed as Benatia replacement

21 June at 13:35
Juventus are reportedly eyeing Atletico Madrid defender Diego Godin as a replacement for Medhi Benatia this summer.

Godin has started both of Uruguay's games in the ongoing FIFA World Cup and has become a very important part of the Los Rojiblancos side since he arrived from Villarreal in the summer of 2010 for a fee in the region of 8 million euros.

Tuttosport report that with Medhi Benatia probably on his way out of the bianconeri this summer, Juventus will make a move to sign Godin as his replacement.

Rudi Garcia reportedly wants Benatia as Marseille and Juve feel that Godin fits the bill for them.
Yes, please.

No disrespect to Medhi, but.....

Well, actually, yes, disrespect to Medhi in this case. Godin is leaps and bounds better than him.

Bro, didn't you read... It's irrational and a poor investment to replace 29 year old Benatia with so ancient the wheels are falling off 32 year old Godin. :seven:
Especially when that 29 year old is actually 31.

I can't tell if we are looking for footballers or Dominican baseball players, what with all of these inaccuracies regarding age.

Godin's benefits hold well with age, he is no Hummels

if we can swap without paying up it will be great
Even paying a few millions would be ok but no more than that because we need to save the money for our midfield (and also attack)

So right now we signed Perin who costs as much as Buffon
Can for 16M - I understand its for 3 years so 6M and 2X5M?
Cancelo in soon and Rugani to Chelsea soon - Both cost the same more or less..
So our entire budget should still be available - The question is how much is this year`s budget..
If our budget is the same as previous years it means we have 30M+- and we should add sales
Mandragora to Monaco 20M+-
Sturaro will probably leave as well for 20M+-
Audero 10M
Cerri 13M

Pjaca is staying for now so I wont add him..

So our budget for incoming transfers should be approximately 93M+- Lets round it to 100M

It means if we want SMS we need to convince Lazio to sell for 100M or less
If we want SMS and Golovin we need to sell another player
Higuain - If he leaves it could be a real boost to our finances as he would fetch around 50M and he is on high wages..

Fantasy speaking SMS+Golovin+Lozano should cost 100M+25M+35M->160M but SMS will probably cost 10M or 20M more so 160M-180M
In order to fetch 160-180M we need another 60M-80M and that is either Pjanic 80M or Higuain 50M + for once we spend more than 30M net

Rabbiot may have a ego, but for a decent price its a no brainer. He has so much talent and personalty at a Young age.

We could handle : Zlatan, Davids , Tevez , Zidane and until now Douglas Costa.

Cant see rabbiot giving us any trouble
