why are you surprised? Serbia and other Balkan countries usually have incompetent people in charge. he played his 1st game for them in October, a friendly. zero games, zero callups in all of their qualifying games. that after it was clear as day hes their best mid with Matic during the last 2 seasons

I think he had a falling out with the previous coach. The current coach seems to rate him but might still prefer other players for tactical reasons (better defensively).

normally yes, but this is a Balkan nation. who knows what mediocre players are being pushed by various agents for personal gains

but in the end, i do think he will start. doubt Krstajic is as clueless/corrupt as his predecessor
