I'm not sure we should look at this as a direct replacement, rather an opportunity to play 433 and give Dybala and Costa and/or Berna a more mobile partner, which could benefit their performance as well. To be fair though, Dybala-Morata didn't have the best chemistry last time they tried to play together
As if a 4-3-3 with Higuain is impossible... Selling and replacing Higuain with an actual upgrade will be far too expensive :sergio:

It was the exact formation he played at Napoli (and scored a record amount of goals too) but apparently he can’t play in it
 :agree: people spew so much shit when it comes to Higuaín, apparently any other striker in the world is an upgrade and will be better for us. People forget how hard it was when our strikers were Matri, Vucinic, Egghead, and Quags  , he finally have a WC striker and people want a change, grass is always greener on the other side sadly.

With Higgy and Dybs it'll always be 442 or similar in defense. Someone like Morata or Martial at least can be expected to put in the required work for 433 to work also in defense and make it harder for our opponents to hold the ball, in attack it doesnt matter much who's CF and who's the winger, we just need someone strong to hold up the ball

No, Dybala is not a problem. Dybala is our most valuable asset and should be a cornerstone of our team. Dybala-Higuain partnership is the problem though.
It is not. Dybala can partner Higuain perfectly in a 4-3-3 just not as a traditional winger. Douglas Costa and Dybbi behind Higuain would be perfect.

So you'd want your CF (Morata or Martial) to do the work Dybala can't... How illogical does it get...

not that illogical, it's the same kind of service Mandžukič is giving Dybala and Higuain at moment. doesn't have to be necessarily a CF, just someone who can hold up and distribute the ball and strong in the air

It is the CF because if Martial/Morata comes and Higuain goes, they will always be the CF as Dybala just can't do that against strong opposition.

Am I the only one who finds the current rumours to be rather ambiguous in terms of our transfer strategy -> our system.

- We sell Higuain to buy Morata or Icardi to play them in a number 9 role, keeping Dybala on the wing, but also keeping Dybala, Costa, and Berna from their best position

- We sign Morata to play Manbro role of a physical left forward and field Dybala as a no.9 ( in a 4-3-3)

- We sign Morata or Icardi to play in a 4-4-2 type of system with Pjanic and Can a our central midfielders :scared:

- We sign Morata or Icardi to play as a lone striker in a 4-2-3-1, fielding Dybala as a no.10 but with the support of a 2-man midfield consisting of Pjanic and Can.

We have strikers to play in a 4-3-3 but not together (Piggy and Dybala); we have wingers to play 4-3-3 or 4-2-3-1 - not 3-5-2; we have midfielders to play a 3-man midfield - not a 2-man. So what's the plan? I sure hope Allegri have realised the current crooked 4-4-2 isn't working and our attack and build up play needs to be improved for the coming CL campaign. There needs to be a clear plan for the squad and our system, then you can always tinker within that.

Of course they can partner in 4-3-3, they are both wc players. But I agree with rumored Max's evaluation of him – we need someone who can ran, who can dribble and beat his man one on one. That's why Icardi rumors are strange because he doesn't tick any of this boxes.

All the so called gurus are talking about Pogba
One of them is saying the real target is lewa, after he said it tuttosport and the rest of them posted about him

Romagnoli is someone we are monitoring
Pellegrini still an option

Darmian we need to find an agreement with man u

Can is done apparently

Florenzi still hasn't re-signed
SMS name still being thrown around
out of all these, i'm most excited about romagnoli. i know that it's fucked, we don't desperately need an other cb, but i'm fond on dem italiens with wc potential, and he's one of the very few young azzurri who can be legendary.

Well, that's another thing and I tend to agree with that. And Icardi doesn't tick those boxes indeed.
