Because pogbas last season was ass
Yeah he struggled, plays as holding mid, and needs to improve, mature and focus, but what can of simplistic BS is that? It's about expectations, Pogba is expected to be super star midfielder and carry a load he is not capable of, especially under Mourinho, that price tag comes with big burden. And he is scrutinized more for it, rightfully. How is that compared to playing in Lazio?

But fact of matter is he still had 9 goals and 11 assists for Man U and was an incredibly dynamic and freakishly skilled player. More so then SMS, who is playing in Lazio, let that sink in, Lazio, still has alot to prove, and he too will have issues of pressure because of huge price tag and if he is also misused as holding mid instead of roaming b2b in his next club.

But bottom line is, watch both players, disregard their history and emotions, who is the clearly more talented player? Can't be missed.

Of course Pogba is more talented, but he's hardly lived up to that as the main man. He's been ass for two years, doesn't seem to give a shit on the pitch half the time for ManU, throws late tantrums when things don't go his way, and seems more intent on his image than actually improving as a footballer.

He'd be coming back here as a main man, with the salary, transfer fee, and expectations to match. The last two years haven't convinced me he'd handle it well and live up to his potential.

Of course I'd still take him back because our midfield is ass and Allegri got him performing pretty Damn amazing in the past.

I don't disagree with Pogba's flaws, and clearly his immaturity, my only contention is this: He is clearly better then SMS. People will be disappointed if they expect Pogba level from him, wether he signs for us or elsewhere.

We watched Pogba since he was 19, and SMS just had his first breakout season, how can it be any doubt he is above SMS in general ability?

Oh I agree with you on this one, just thought it would be interesting to hear people’s opinion on this considering SMS is the flavour of the summer on Tuz.

For me they are pretty close in terms of skills, but Pogba is much more athletic. Maybe SMS will be better at handling pressure than Pogba, but that remains to be seen.

You already know how much I dislike the Pogba transfer and how that saga played out, and while I joke about not wanting him back because of it, it's pretty clear he'd help our midfield immensely, and Allegri has already shown he can get Pogba to perform at a consistently high level. Definitely worth a try.

I like SMS from what I've seen but I haven't watched him enough to know just how good he is.
