As everything is written in 'would' it's speculation. Bayern was reportedly interested and that's better than just guessing what they'd need or want. Maybe they wanted to get rid of someone if they could've gotten Can... As was Man City.

The links to Bayern have been a big laughable joke and only came from clueless foreign shit sources from Italy and England. Bayern was never interested and I m pretty sure that Pep was not interested at all too.

These are all rumours, I think it's still early to be hanging on any of them. Honestly, I don't see our management capable of competing for certain big names, unless we are financially very comfortable. Also, I think that SMS leaving Serie A and heading to the PL and particularly MU would be the biggest blow this league can suffer. Sorry for repeating it once again, but I think investing in SMS is the right thing to do of all the other names we are linked to, because I see him as a Nedved type of player, one who can turn our team around, like 360 degrees, plus he's very young and TOO talented for his age.

Sell: Rugani, Pjanic, Khedira, Sturaro, Matuidi, Mandzukic, Spinazzola.
Bring back/buy: Caldara, Pjaca, SMS, Martial, Meunier / another RB.

I know this scenario is a bit unrealistic and is unlikely to happen as Marotta recently stated that it would be very hard to improve the quality of the team because according to him, all of our players are almost perfect...

thought so. Real makes zero sense as well. which bring me back to my original question, what competition did we actually beat to sign him? Liverpool, inter, Milan, maybe some german clubs. i really hope some of these actually can beat us for his signing, and we turn our attention to Max Meyer instead

how about 1st we smash them, then we sign them. Modric wont leave Madrid for another season imo, my guess is they get Eriksen or Verratti, then after one season let go of Modric. and you know who will be waiting

I'd rather Erickson over Modric even though I rate modric higher.

What top teams? Real has a full roster and don't need anyone, especially in the middle. If they sold someone they would go for Verratti, Eriksen and the likes, not Can. Bayern signed Goretzka, you know, the real gem among German CMs this summer. Javi, Rudy, Thiago, Tolisso, Vidal, James. Only reason they would want Emre is as a hg bench warmer, which they have plenty of other players for. City? Not sure, who knows what that idiot Guardiola is planning, but he got rid of Can once when he was at Bayern, and he can offer better wages than us easily, so doubt that's true either. The competition that makes sense, and one we are capable of beating is Pool, Milan, inter and the likes. And actually Milan is the team that needs him the most, they spent tons of money last summer and didn't make the CL, now it's cutting losses for them. A freebie like can would help them improve the team while not going into the red any further. A midfield of Calhanoglu-Can-Kessie is very good and still young, Biglia and Bonaventura for depth is also good enough. Would do Serie A good if they took him

He isnt young and will cost more than we should offer to get him but
1. Considering our usual purchases I rather see us overpay to get a WC midfielder than get 2 cheaper and not as great midfielders
2. Real will not sell him and I doubt he`ll leave Real for us..
