Honestly don’t know if or how much that would help. For instance a new coach would start from scratch want his own players in etc so what rebuild ?
Well we'd get that coach around end of may, beginning of June so he'll have the whole transfer period to to get his players and if the board are considering this, they won't push hard for players that the new coach might not want. We already going for a big overhaul this summer anyway.

I love Morata but bringing him back would be a luxury signing. No way we sign him to be our vice Higuain, unless we are going to play him on the left, which imo would not be the best idea with Higuain being the cf.

I'm all for a front 3 of Morata-Dybala-Costa though, with Dybala given a free role, and have Morata drift centrally, given he likes to occupy the left wing.
Luxury signing perhaps but what would martial for 50m be then?

I still think we will spend more on midfield which is why Morata is an option. See how he does over 2 consistent seasons before buying.

OR, this thought came to mind as I was writing above: what if Can pulled the rug out and said no? That could be why we are looking for a cheaper alternative than Martial?

Juventus are interested in signing Musa Barrow & keep him on loan at Atalanta for a season or two like Caldara. The Gambian striker is valued at €30m. (Corsport)

In the coming weeks, Juventus will try to bring Morata back to the club - Marotta could seek negotiations with Chelsea after the season has ended. [SportsMediaSet]

Failed to imagine that Beppe would spend 30m for a 19y old. Won't happen.

For the figures mentioned on Morata I think he's way too expensive to be considered a valuable solution. Also, he's not an ideal Mandzu replacement as he is more of a CF then a LW / LF.

On the contrary, Martial is mainly a LW / LF but capable of playing CF.

Although we have a special relationship with Morata, and the players desire could help us get him, I don't think he's remotely close to a valuation of €70m! Even with a €15m loan and €45m buyout clause.

If we can get Martial for €50m, this is a no brainer: better value for money and a player who fits the position perfectly.

There is no way Martial will leave for only 50m. Plus Mandzukic is a CF and if he leaves we would have no backup at CF whatsoever. Martial can fill in that gap temporarily but obviously Morata is a better fit there.

I'm not saying I'd prefer Morata here, which I actually don't. But your reasoning is a little off in my perspective.

Right now it seem our mercato will be:
1.Emre Can
2.Morata
3.Darmian
Out:
Lichtsteiner
Asamoah
Khedira
Mandzukic

This means that
1. A.Sandro is staying
2. Dybala is staying

We are linked with Bellerin which might indicate A.Sandro is still undecided
Martial will probably arrive if we cant secure Morata

Pogba is a long shot as we will only get him if Man Utd accept a loan move
SMS seems unlikely at this point (unless we sell a top rated player or something extraordinary happens)...
IMO our best chance of getting one of the last two names mentioned is if Man Utd sign SMS and see him as Pogba`s replacement

Well, just today I read from BBC sport that Mourinho has approved Juve as a buyer for Martial. The only other club outide of PL is Bayern, and they don't seem interested after all.
Rather sell him to Juve for €50m then Chelsea for €70m, is the logic here.

His contract is running out next year, and the player has not signed a new deal as he appears to want out.

We need a LW with Madzu leaving.
