Thats not really the point. Pellegrini is a good player and in todays market 25m is a good price. The problem with buing multiple good players for 20-30m each is that we will have no money left to invest in 50+ players who will be able to take us to another level. Therefore we should only go for top players or talents who have the ability to become a top player, and in my opinion Pellegrini is neither.

Its like going to the car dealer looking for a Ferrari returning with a Mazda because the guy gave you a good deal on it.

That is not the point at all. If we sell 2 players, we also need 2 replacements. We need a large team to withstand the busy schedule. It's basic team logic. The rest is football manager bullsh*t.

We need to improve the starting eleven. Bring Mandragora home to be six/ seventh choice CM and get a proper reinforcement for the starting eleven. Wont change a damn thing if Pellegrini gets 15 games a year or Mandragora gets 10. We need to stop this quantety over quality bullshit.

we arent keeping Matuidi if hes not a starter, especially if PP comes. guy earns 4M a year and cost us 40M in fee. SMS and Pogba play ridiculous amount of games so hed be getting Marchisio minutes

In hindsight, We paid just too much money for him. Really bad buy considering he is just an average defensive midfielder with no technique.

We believed he was what we needed, but in this times you need all your midfielders to be skilled. We cant aford to have glorified momo sissokos on the midfield, as harsh as it sounds.

still, he had some really great games for PSG in the CL. might be that we just got him too late, one injury and he didnt look the same player anymore. if Mourinho still wants, id sell him

The negativity level is amazing. First of all you're underestimating Pellegrini who's actually quite a decent player and he is someone who can replace Pjanic. For instance the first leg against Real, we missed someone like that. If you'd be confident with Mandragora, we'd just have the same result as with Bentancur now.
And secondly, we also need to upgrade other options. 25m is peanuts and he'll have a low salary as a young gun so no financial restrictions here. Selling Sturaro, Khedira and possibly Matuidi will bring in some money as well. While he's probably better than any of them minus the experience.

They're not looking at SMS either, really. Their rosters are just filled... I'd take Can but still want a third CM if we count Pellegrini in.
